Man, what a day! Rzeszów, you wild city! I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring Tuesday. Spoiler alert: it was anything but. So, I’m chillin’ in my tiny flat on ul. 3 Maja, right? I step out, and boom! The sun’s shining like it’s trying to blind me. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” I grab a coffee from my fave spot, Café Dym, and the barista, bless her soul, spills half of it on me. I’m like, “Awesome, now I smell like a latte.” I head down to the Rynek, the main square. It’s buzzing! Tourists everywhere, snapping pics of the Town Hall. I mean, it’s a cool building and all, but c’mon, it’s not the Eiffel Tower. I’m just trying to get to my writing spot, but nooo, I get stuck behind a group of loud Americans. They’re like, “What’s a pierogi?” I’m rolling my eyes so hard, I almost see my brain. Finally, I break free and hit up my usual bench by the Wisłok River. It’s peaceful there, you know? Just me, the water, and my thoughts. I start scribbling down ideas for my next story. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, chasing a dog. The dog’s got a stick, and the kid’s yelling like it’s the end of the world. I can’t help but laugh. Kids are hilarious, man. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Tomek. He’s like, “Dude, meet me at ul. Grunwaldzka. I got something.” I’m thinking, “What now?” But I’m curious, so I pack up and head over. When I get there, he’s standing outside this sketchy-looking bar. I’m like, “What’s up?” He grins and pulls out a bottle of homemade vodka. I’m like, “You serious? We’re drinking this?” He nods, and I’m already regretting my life choices. We down a few shots, and I’m feeling it. Suddenly, Tomek’s like, “Let’s go to the castle!” I’m thinking, “Dude, it’s like a million miles away.” But he’s already dragging me. We stumble through the streets, passing by the old market and the beautiful buildings. Rzeszów’s got this vibe, you know? It’s a mix of old and new. I love it. But I’m also trying not to trip over my own feet. Finally, we reach the castle, and it’s lit up at night. It’s stunning! I’m standing there, feeling all deep and philosophical. Like, “Wow, life is beautiful.” But then, I trip on a rock and almost faceplant. Classic me, right? Tomek’s laughing his ass off, and I’m just trying to regain my dignity. We sit on the steps, and I start talking about my writing. I’m all passionate, and he’s just nodding, probably thinking about the next shot of vodka. Then, outta nowhere, this group of locals shows up. They’re singing some Polish folk songs, and I’m like, “What’s happening?” They invite us to join, and I’m thinking, “Why not?” So, there we are, two random guys from Rzeszów, singing our hearts out. The night ends with us wandering back, arms around each other, singing off-key. I’m exhausted but happy. Rzeszów, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. I crash into bed, thinking about how wild life can be. One minute, I’m sipping coffee, and the next, I’m singing with strangers. What a day! What a freakin’ day!
