Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Steszew, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up ul. Poznańska for some coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing there, waiting for my latte, and this dude in front of me orders, like, a 5-layer caramel macchiato with extra foam. I’m like, “Bro, it’s 8 AM, not a dessert shop!” But whatever, I’m just trying to get my caffeine fix. Finally, I get my drink, and it’s perfect. I take a sip, and boom! It’s like a hug in a cup. Then, I head over to ul. Główna to meet some students. I’m all pumped, ready to help them figure out their lives. But, of course, they’re late. Classic. I’m standing there, looking like a lost puppy, and I start thinking about how I could’ve slept in. Ugh. When they finally show up, they’re all like, “Sorry, we were at the park.” I’m like, “What park? The one by the lake?” Turns out, they were at Jezioro Steszewskie, just chilling. I mean, I get it, the lake is nice, but c’mon! We had a plan! So, we sit down at this little café on ul. Wrzesińska. I’m trying to get them to talk about their future, and they’re just staring at their phones. I’m like, “Guys, put the phones down! This is your life we’re talking about!” But they’re all about TikTok and whatever. I’m losing my mind. Then, outta nowhere, this kid, let’s call him Kuba, says he wants to be a professional gamer. I’m like, “Dude, that’s cool, but what’s your backup plan?” He just shrugs. I mean, come on! You can’t just game your way through life! After that, I’m feeling a bit defeated. I decide to take a walk. I stroll down ul. Słowiańska, and it’s so peaceful. The trees are swaying, and I’m like, “Okay, maybe today isn’t a total disaster.” But then, I trip over a crack in the sidewalk. Seriously?! I’m fine, but I’m like, “Steszew, you gotta fix your streets!” I keep walking, and I end up at the market square. It’s buzzing! There’s this old lady selling fresh pierogi, and I can’t resist. I grab a plate, and OMG, they’re heavenly. I’m stuffing my face, and suddenly, I’m happy again. Food fixes everything, right? But then, I see a group of students from earlier. They’re laughing and taking selfies. I’m like, “Really? You guys just ditched our convo for this?” I’m torn between being annoyed and wanting to join them. FOMO is real, man. As the day goes on, I bump into an old friend from high school. We chat about life, and it’s nice. He’s doing well, and I’m happy for him. But then he mentions moving to Poznań. I’m like, “Dude, don’t leave Steszew! We need you here!” By the time I head home, I’m exhausted. My brain’s a mess of thoughts. I’m angry, happy, confused, and hungry again. I plop down on my couch, and I’m like, “What even was today?” So yeah, Steszew is wild. It’s got its quirks, its charm, and a whole lot of surprises. I love it, but man, it sure knows how to keep me on my toes!
