Man, what a day in Świdnica! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up ul. Wrocławska for some coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing in line, and this dude in front of me orders, like, a triple-shot, half-caf, soy latte with extra foam. I’m just there, rolling my eyes. Like, bro, it’s coffee, not a science experiment! Anyway, I finally get my black coffee—classic, right?—and head out. Next stop, the market square. It’s buzzing! People everywhere, vendors shouting about fresh veggies and flowers. I’m strolling past ul. Kościuszki, and I spot this cute little bakery. I can’t resist. I grab a paczek, and OMG, it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon swoops down and tries to steal it! I’m like, “Dude, back off!” I swear, I almost threw my coffee at it. So, I’m feeling good, right? I decide to check out the Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslaus. It’s stunning, like, seriously. I’m standing there, taking pics, and this old lady comes up to me. She’s like, “You know, this place is haunted.” I’m thinking, “Great, just what I need—ghosts on my day off.” But she’s super sweet, tells me stories about the place. I’m all ears, but inside, I’m like, “Can we skip the ghost tour?” After that, I head down ul. Słowiańska. I’m on a mission to find this hidden gem of a bookstore. I finally find it, and it’s like stepping into Narnia. Books everywhere! I’m in heaven. But then, I trip over a stack of books. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the floor, and the owner just laughs. “You okay?” I’m like, “Yeah, just testing the floor for quality.” Then, the day takes a turn. I’m walking back, and I see this protest happening near the town hall. People are shouting about something—totally didn’t catch what. But the energy is wild! I’m getting pumped up, like, “Yeah, let’s change the world!” But then, I realize I have no idea what they’re protesting. I just stand there, nodding along, trying to look informed. Finally, I’m exhausted. I decide to chill at a café on ul. 1 Maja. I order a slice of cheesecake—because why not? I sit outside, people-watching. This couple walks by, and the guy is trying to impress his date with some lame jokes. I’m cringing hard. Like, dude, just stop. But she’s laughing, and I’m like, “What’s wrong with you, girl?” As the sun sets, I’m reflecting on the day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. I’m angry at the pigeon, happy about the paczek, and confused by the protest. Świdnica, you’ve got my heart racing! I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe fewer pigeons? Fingers crossed!
