Man, what a day! I woke up in Szczebrzeszyn, and I swear, I had no idea what was coming. First off, I’m not even from here, but this little town has a vibe, ya know? It’s like, you step out, and boom! You’re hit with that fresh air mixed with a hint of... I dunno, pierogi? So, I hit up ul. 1 Maja first. Classic move, right? Grabbed a coffee at this tiny café. The barista was super chill, but then she spilled my drink. Like, c’mon! I was ready to throw a fit, but then she gave me a free pastry. Sweet! I mean, who can stay mad when there’s free food involved? After that, I decided to stroll down ul. Słowackiego. It’s a cute street, all cobblestones and old-school vibes. I was just vibin’, listening to some tunes, when I saw this old dude feeding pigeons. I thought, “Man, that’s the life.” But then, outta nowhere, a pigeon pooped on his head! I couldn’t help but laugh. Like, dude, nature’s got jokes! Then I hit up the market square. It was buzzing! People everywhere, selling stuff, chatting, just living life. I saw this guy selling handmade crafts. He had these wooden carvings that were kinda cool, but then he started talking about how each piece had a “soul.” I was like, “Bro, it’s wood, not a spirit.” But hey, to each their own, right? Next, I wandered over to the Szczebrzeszyn Town Hall. It’s this old building, super pretty. I took a pic, and then this random kid photobombed me. I mean, c’mon! But it was hilarious. I ended up chatting with his mom, and she told me about the local legends. Apparently, there’s a Szczebrzeszyn bug that’s like, super famous? I was like, “What?!” Then, I got hungry again. So, I hit up this local eatery on ul. Zamojska. I ordered some żurek, and let me tell ya, it was the best thing ever! I was slurping it down like it was my last meal. The waitress was super nice, but she kept giving me weird looks. Maybe it was the way I was eating? Who knows. After that, I decided to check out the Szczebrzeszyn Forest. I thought, “Why not?” I mean, fresh air, trees, and all that jazz. But then I got lost. Like, seriously lost. I was wandering around, thinking I’d end up in Narnia or something. Finally, I found this cute little clearing, and there was a family having a picnic. They invited me over, and I ended up sharing stories and laughing. It was one of those moments that just makes you feel good, ya know? But then, the sky turned dark. Outta nowhere, it started pouring! I was soaked in seconds. I ran for cover under this old tree, and I swear, I thought I’d be stuck there forever. But then, I saw a group of kids splashing in puddles. They were having the time of their lives! I couldn’t help but smile. Finally, the rain stopped, and I made my way back to the town. I was exhausted but happy. Szczebrzeszyn had thrown me a wild ride today. I mean, from coffee spills to pigeon poop, and random picnics, it was a rollercoaster. As I walked back to my place, I thought about how this little town had so much character. It’s quirky, it’s fun, and it’s full of surprises. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
