Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up in Trzebiatów, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my coffee from that little café on ul. Kościuszki. You know the one? The barista there is a total legend. He always knows my order. I’m like, “Dude, just give me the usual.” And he’s like, “You mean the ‘I need caffeine to survive’ special?” Haha, love that guy. So, I’m pumped, ready to hit the day. I had a translation gig lined up at this community center on ul. Słowiańska. It’s a cool spot, but man, the energy there is wild. I walk in, and it’s like a circus. Kids running around, parents trying to keep it together. I’m thinking, “What did I sign up for?” Then, boom! I get hit with this wave of chaos. They tell me the speaker is late. Like, seriously? I’m here, all set, and the dude’s stuck in traffic. I’m pacing, trying to keep my cool. I mean, I’m a pro, right? But inside, I’m like, “C’mon, man! I’ve got places to be!” Finally, the guy shows up, and he’s all flustered. I’m like, “Dude, you’re not the only one having a rough morning.” But whatever, we dive into the translation. And let me tell you, it was intense. The topics were heavy—disability rights, access to education, all that jazz. I’m signing my heart out, trying to keep up. My hands are flying, and I’m sweating bullets. Then, outta nowhere, this kid in the front row raises his hand. He’s like, “Can you sign ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’?” I’m like, “What?!” I mean, who even knows that word? But I’m not one to back down. I give it a shot, and the whole room bursts out laughing. I’m thinking, “Okay, kid, you just made my day.” After the session, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy. But then, I step outside, and it’s like the weather flipped a switch. Dark clouds roll in, and it starts pouring. I’m talking full-on monsoon. I’m sprinting down ul. 1 Maja, dodging puddles like I’m in some kind of Olympic event. My shoes are soaked, and I’m cursing the weather gods. I duck into a shop on ul. Główna to escape the rain. It’s a cute little place, full of local crafts. I’m browsing, and I spot this amazing hand-painted mug. I’m like, “I need this in my life.” But then I check my wallet. Ugh, not today! So, I just admire it from afar. Finally, the rain lets up, and I’m back on the streets. I decide to treat myself to some pierogi at that spot near the market. You know the one? The lady there makes the best fillings. I’m chowing down, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I’m in heaven. But then, I overhear this couple arguing at the next table. They’re going at it, and I’m just trying to enjoy my food. I’m thinking, “Guys, can you not? I’m trying to eat here!” It’s like, can’t a person have a peaceful meal in Trzebiatów? After that, I head home, exhausted but happy. I plop down on my couch, and I’m just like, “What a day.” I can’t believe all the ups and downs. Trzebiatów, you never fail to surprise me. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of drama. Just another day in this wild little town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
