Man, what a day in Wałcz! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up ul. Kościuszki for some coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing there, waiting for my brew, and this dude in front of me orders, like, a 5-layer caramel macchiato with extra foam. I’m just like, “Bro, it’s 8 AM, not a coffee shop in Paris!” But whatever, I’m not here to judge. Grab my coffee, and I’m off to the park by Jezioro Wałeckie. Beautiful spot, right? I’m strolling, feeling good, when I see this kid flying a kite. And I’m thinking, “Man, I haven’t flown a kite since I was, like, 10.” So, I’m all nostalgic and stuff. But then, outta nowhere, the wind picks up, and BAM! The kite crashes into a tree. I’m laughing, but also kinda sad for the kid. Then, I decide to hit up ul. 1 Maja. You know, the main street. I’m walking, and I see this old lady selling flowers. She’s got the best sunflowers, man. I buy one, and she gives me this huge smile. Like, I just made her day. And honestly, that made my day too. But then, I’m walking past the old castle ruins. You know, the ones that look like they’re straight outta a fairy tale? I’m taking pics, feeling all artsy, when I trip over a rock. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, and this group of teenagers starts laughing. I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, I’m just practicing my dramatic fall.” After that, I’m feeling a bit bruised, but whatever. I head to ul. Słowiańska for some lunch. I find this little spot that serves the best pierogi. I order a plate, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m just trying to enjoy my food, and they’re making it hard. I’m thinking, “Dude, take it somewhere else!” Finally, my pierogi come, and they’re heavenly. I’m shoving them in my mouth, and I can’t even hear the couple anymore. But then, I look up, and they’re right next to me! Awkward! I’m just trying to eat, and they’re still going at it. I’m like, “Can you not? I’m trying to enjoy my lunch here!” After that, I’m done with the drama. I decide to chill by the lake again. I sit on a bench, and this random dog comes up to me. It’s all wagging its tail, and I’m like, “Hey buddy, you’re my new best friend.” We’re just hanging out, and I’m petting him, feeling all the good vibes. But then, outta nowhere, the owner comes running. “Bobby! Come back!” I’m like, “Sorry, dude, your dog just loves me.” The owner looks relieved, and I’m just laughing. As the sun starts to set, I’m walking back through ul. Wyszyńskiego, and I can’t help but think about how crazy today was. From coffee drama to pierogi bliss, it was a rollercoaster. I’m exhausted but happy. So, yeah, that was my day in Wałcz. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
