Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a bartender in Wolczyn is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I roll into work at the “Złoty Karp” on ul. Wrocławska, right? It’s a chill spot, but today? Nah, not chill at all. First off, I’m just setting up, pouring some drinks, and this dude walks in. He’s got this wild hair, like he just lost a fight with a lawnmower. He orders a vodka tonic, but he’s slurring like he’s already had a few. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need.” But whatever, I pour it, and he starts talking about the “Wolczyn Festival” coming up. Apparently, it’s gonna be huge this year. Like, bigger than last year’s, which was already a mess. Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Tomek shows up. He’s always got some crazy story. Today, he’s raving about this hidden gem of a place on ul. Słowiańska. Says they’ve got the best pierogi in town. I’m like, “Dude, I’m working! Save the food talk for later!” But he just keeps going. I swear, he could sell ice to an Eskimo. So, I’m trying to focus, right? But then, this group of girls comes in. They’re loud, laughing, and one of ‘em spills her drink all over the bar. I’m like, “Seriously? It’s 3 PM!” But they’re having a blast, so I can’t be too mad. I clean it up, and they start ordering shots. Ugh, shots at 3 PM? What is this, a college party? And then, boom! The power goes out. Just like that. I’m standing there in the dark, and all I can think is, “Great, now I’m gonna have to serve drinks by candlelight.” But then, I hear someone shout, “Let’s do a toast!” And I’m like, “What? In the dark?” But they’re all in, raising their glasses, and I can’t help but laugh. After a few minutes, the lights flicker back on. Thank goodness! But now, the bar’s packed. I’m running around like a headless chicken, trying to keep up. I’m pouring beers, mixing cocktails, and dodging tipsy customers. It’s chaos, but it’s kinda fun. Then, this old guy comes in. He’s a regular, always sits at the same spot by the window. He orders his usual – a beer and a plate of pickles. I love that guy. He’s got the best stories about Wolczyn back in the day. He says the town used to be so different. I mean, I can’t even imagine it. But then, outta nowhere, this guy starts arguing with him. I don’t even know what about. Something about the best place to get a kebab on ul. Główna. I’m just standing there, shaking my head. “Guys, it’s just a kebab!” But they’re going at it like it’s the end of the world. Finally, the night winds down. I’m exhausted, but I can’t help but smile. Wolczyn is wild, man. It’s got its quirks, its characters, and its surprises. I love this place. Even when it drives me nuts. As I’m cleaning up, I think about tomorrow. Another day, another adventure. Who knows what’ll happen? But I’m ready for it. Bring it on, Wolczyn!
