Man, what a day! I swear, being a gardener in Zagórz is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down to ul. Główna. You know, the main street? It’s usually buzzing with folks, but today? Crickets. Just me and my thoughts. I’m thinking about my plants, my babies, you know? But then, BAM! I trip over some random cobblestone. Like, who put that there? I’m pretty sure it was plotting against me. So, I’m limping along, cursing the cobblestone, when I spot this old lady. She’s got a cart full of flowers. I’m talking vibrant, colorful blooms. I’m like, “Hey, lady! Where’d ya get those?” Turns out, she’s been growing them in her backyard on ul. Słowackiego. I’m jealous, man. I mean, I grow stuff too, but her flowers looked like they were straight outta a fairy tale. Anyway, I help her carry her cart. She’s telling me about her secret gardening tips. “Use coffee grounds!” she says. “They make the plants grow like crazy!” I’m like, “Coffee? For plants? I’m in!” So, I’m all pumped up, ready to try it out. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I’m soaked, my plants are soaked, and I’m standing there like a drowned rat. I run for cover under this awning on ul. 1 Maja. I’m shivering, thinking, “Great, just great.” While I’m waiting for the rain to chill, I see this kid. He’s got a skateboard, right? And he’s trying to do tricks. But he keeps falling. I’m laughing, not gonna lie. I mean, who hasn’t been there? I shout, “Hey, buddy! You got this!” He looks at me like I’m a weirdo, but then he nails a trick. I’m cheering like it’s the Olympics. Finally, the rain stops. I’m back on my feet, ready to tackle the day. I head to the park by ul. Parkowa. It’s my favorite spot. I love the vibe there. Families, kids, dogs—just a good time. I start planting some flowers in the community garden. I’m digging, sweating, and feeling good. But then, I see this group of teenagers. They’re messing around, throwing stuff. I’m like, “Hey! This is a garden, not a battlefield!” They laugh, but I’m serious. I mean, come on! Respect the plants, right? After a bit of back and forth, they actually help me out. I’m shocked! They start planting flowers too. Who knew? Maybe they’re not all bad. We’re all laughing, and I’m thinking, “Zagórz, you crazy place.” As the sun sets, I’m packing up. I look around at the garden. It’s beautiful. I feel proud. I think about the old lady, the kid, and even the teens. It’s wild how a day can go from zero to a hundred. I head home, exhausted but happy. I can’t wait to try that coffee ground trick. Tomorrow’s another day in Zagórz, and I’m ready for whatever it throws at me. Bring it on!
