Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a prison warden in Zuromin is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. You never know what’s comin’ next. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already feelin’ the weight of the world. I live on ul. Słowackiego, and lemme tell ya, that street is a whole vibe. First thing, I spill coffee all over my uniform. Great start, huh? I’m rushin’ out the door, tryna look all professional, but I’m just a hot mess. I hop in my car, and of course, the traffic on ul. 1 Maja is a nightmare. Like, c’mon people, it’s not rush hour! I’m sittin’ there, fuming, thinkin’ about how I’m gonna deal with the inmates today. So, I finally get to the prison, and it’s already chaos. Some dude, let’s call him “Big Mike,” is throwin’ a fit in the yard. He’s yellin’ about how he’s been wronged. I mean, dude, you’re in prison! What did you expect? I try to calm him down, but he’s not havin’ it. I’m like, “Mike, chill! You’re not gettin’ a free pass to the outside world.” Then, outta nowhere, I get a call from the mayor. Yeah, the mayor! He’s all like, “We need to talk about the prison’s reputation.” I’m thinkin’, “Dude, it’s a prison! What do you want?” But I gotta play nice, so I’m nodding and pretending to care. Meanwhile, I’m watchin’ the clock, thinkin’ about lunch. Lunch comes, and I’m in the cafeteria. The food? Ugh, don’t even get me started. It’s like they’re tryin’ to punish us with that slop. I sit down with my buddy, Janek, and we’re just crackin’ jokes about the food. “Hey, Janek, think this is what they serve in hell?” We both laugh, but deep down, I’m just sad. After lunch, I head back to the yard. And guess what? Big Mike is still at it! Now he’s got a whole crew riled up. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need.” I try to reason with them, but they’re not listenin’. I’m feelin’ that anger boilin’ up. I mean, I’m just tryna do my job here! Then, outta nowhere, a fight breaks out. It’s like a scene from a movie. I’m yellin’, “Stop! Break it up!” But they’re too far gone. I jump in, and it’s chaos. I’m dodging punches, and I’m like, “This is NOT in my job description!” Finally, we get ‘em separated, but man, my heart’s racin’. After that, I need a breather. I step outside for a sec, and I’m just takin’ in the sights of Zuromin. The old buildings, the vibe of the streets. It’s a small town, but it’s got character. I think about how I grew up here, runnin’ around ul. Kościuszki, playin’ soccer with my buddies. Now I’m wranglin’ inmates. Life’s funny like that, huh? As the day winds down, I’m exhausted. I head back home, and I can’t shake off the craziness. I plop down on my couch, and I’m just like, “What a day.” I scroll through my phone, see some memes, and laugh. Gotta find humor in the madness, right? So, yeah, that was my day in Zuromin. Full of ups and downs, chaos and laughter. Just another day in the life of a prison warden. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
