OMG, what a day! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little room on Calle 5, right? The sun was blaring, and I was like, “Ugh, not today!” But ya know, being a geisha in Carolina (PR) means you gotta put on that smile, even when you wanna crawl back under the covers. First off, I had a client at Plaza Carolina. This dude was late. Like, super late. I’m sittin’ there, sippin’ my café con leche, and I’m like, “Is this guy for real?” I mean, I could’ve been chillin’ at the beach instead of waitin’ around. But whatever, I’m patient, right? Finally, he shows up, all flustered. Turns out he got stuck in traffic on Ave. 65 de Infantería. I mean, who doesn’t know that road is a mess? I was ready to throw my coffee at him, but then he flashed that charming smile. Ugh, why do they always do that? So, we go through the motions, and I’m trying to keep it light. We hit up some spots around the mall. I showed him the best empanadillas at La Casa de los Pastelillos. Like, if you haven’t had those, you’re missing out! I was all about the food, and he was just nodding along. I swear, I could’ve talked about food all day. Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, tropical storm level. We duck into a little café on Calle San Jorge, and I’m like, “Great, now I’m gonna smell like wet dog.” But then, we start chatting, and he’s actually funny. Like, really funny. I’m laughing so hard, I almost snorted my drink. But then, he says something that totally threw me off. He goes, “You know, I’ve always wanted to be a geisha.” I’m like, “Dude, you do realize that’s not how it works, right?” I mean, come on! But I just laughed it off. After the rain, we hit the streets again. The sun’s out, and everything’s glistening. We stroll down Calle 1, and I’m feeling all kinds of good vibes. But then, I see my ex. Ugh, why? He’s with some girl, and I’m like, “Really? You couldn’t even wait a month?” I was ready to throw a fit, but I just kept walking. We ended up at the beach, and I was like, “This is it!” The waves were crashing, and I felt so free. I kicked off my shoes and ran into the water. I mean, who doesn’t love a good splash? My client joined in, and we were just goofing around. It was like a scene from a movie, but way messier. Then, outta nowhere, I get a call from my bestie. She’s like, “Girl, you won’t believe what happened!” I’m trying to listen, but I’m also trying not to drown in the waves. I’m like, “Can’t talk, I’m in the ocean!” She’s going on about some drama, and I’m just laughing. By the time the sun was setting, I was feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster. My client and I ended up sitting on the sand, watching the sunset. It was beautiful, and I felt this weird connection. Like, maybe he wasn’t so bad after all. But then, he leans in and says, “So, what’s next?” And I’m like, “Uh, I gotta go home.” I mean, I can’t just hang out forever, right? But he looked so hopeful, and I felt bad. So, I gave him my number. I know, I know, bad idea. But hey, it was a crazy day, and sometimes you just gotta roll with it. As I walked home, I couldn’t help but think about how wild life is in Carolina. From the busy streets to the quiet beaches, it’s a mix of everything. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another day in the life of a geisha in Carolina. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
