Man, what a day! I woke up in San Juan, PR, and thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Calle Loiza for breakfast. You know, the spot with the bomb avocado toast? Yeah, that one. But guess what? They ran outta avocados! Like, how do you run outta avocados in PR? I was ready to throw a fit. I mean, c’mon! So, I settled for a pastelón. Not bad, but not what I wanted. Then, I decided to stroll down to La Placita. You know, the place where the party never stops? I was vibin’ to the music, feeling the energy. But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring! Like, I’m talkin’ torrential downpour. I was soaked in seconds. I mean, who needs a shower when you can just walk in the rain, right? So, I ducked into a bar on Calle San Sebastián. The bartender was super chill, but the drinks? Ugh, they were weak! I ordered a piña colada, and it tasted like a sad smoothie. I was like, “Dude, where’s the rum?” He just laughed. I was not amused. After that, I decided to hit up El Viejo San Juan. You know, the colorful streets and all that jazz. I was wandering around, taking pics of the cute buildings. But then, I tripped over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I fell right in front of a group of tourists. They laughed. I laughed too, but inside I was like, “Ugh, so embarrassing!” Then, I found this little art gallery on Calle del Cristo. OMG, the art was insane! I was totally vibing with this piece that was all about the island’s culture. It hit me right in the feels. I was like, “This is why I love being a Creative Director.” But then, I noticed the price tag. Yikes! I can’t afford that! So, I left the gallery and headed to the beach. Condado Beach, to be exact. The sun was shining, and I thought, “Finally, some good vibes.” But nope! I forgot my sunscreen. I was like, “Great, now I’m gonna look like a lobster.” I plopped down on the sand, trying to relax. But then, this kid next to me started blasting reggaeton. I mean, I love reggaeton, but not at full volume while I’m trying to chill! I was ready to throw sand at him. But instead, I just danced a little. Gotta embrace the chaos, right? As the sun started to set, I felt a wave of gratitude. San Juan is wild, but it’s my wild. I love the energy, the people, the food. Even the rain. Well, maybe not the rain. I wrapped up my day with some mofongo at a local spot. It was heavenly! I was finally happy again. I mean, who can be mad while eating mofongo? Not me! So yeah, that was my day in San Juan. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow!
