Man, today was a wild ride in Abraveses! Like, I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day, ya know? But nah, the universe had other plans. So, I’m strolling down Rua da Liberdade, right? Just vibin’ to my tunes, when BAM! A pigeon poops on my shoulder. Like, seriously? Who invited you to this party, Mr. Pigeon? I’m already late for my meeting at the café on Rua da Escola. Great start, huh? I get to the café, and it’s packed. I mean, it’s a small place, but today? It’s like the whole town decided to grab a coffee. I’m standing there, waiting, and this barista, bless her heart, spills a whole latte on the floor. I’m like, “Girl, you okay?” She just laughs it off. I’m thinking, “This is why I don’t drink coffee.” Finally, I get my order. A nice, warm pastel de nata. Heaven in a pastry! But then, I sit down, and guess what? My phone dies. Just like that. No warning. I’m like, “C’mon, man! I need to post this on Insta!” So, I’m sitting there, people-watching. There’s this old dude on Rua da Liberdade, feeding the pigeons. I swear, he’s got a whole flock following him. I’m half tempted to join them. Maybe they’ll take me to a better place. Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud music. Turns out, there’s a street performer on Rua do Comércio. This guy is playing the accordion like he’s in a movie. I’m talking full-on dramatic vibes. I can’t help but smile. I toss him a couple of coins. He winks at me. I’m like, “Dude, you just made my day!” But then, the mood shifts. I’m walking towards the park, and I see this group of kids playing football. They’re having a blast, but then one of them trips and falls. I’m like, “Oof, that’s gotta hurt.” But he gets up, brushes it off, and keeps playing. Kids are tough, man. I finally make it to Parque da Cidade. It’s beautiful, but today? It’s packed. Families everywhere, kids screaming, dogs running around. I’m trying to find a quiet spot, but it’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I just wanna chill, y’know? I plop down on a bench, and this lady next to me starts talking about her cat. I’m like, “Cool, but I don’t really care.” But she’s so into it, I can’t help but listen. Apparently, her cat has a better social life than I do. After a while, I decide to head home. I’m walking down Rua da Paz, and I see this cute little shop. It’s got all these handmade crafts. I go in, and the owner is super friendly. We start chatting about Abraveses, and I’m like, “This place has so much character!” But then, I step outside, and it starts pouring. Like, outta nowhere! I’m soaked in seconds. I’m laughing, though. Just my luck, right? I run to the nearest bus stop, and of course, the bus is late. I’m standing there, drenched, thinking, “This day is a mess!” Finally, the bus arrives. I hop on, and it’s packed. I’m squished between a guy who smells like garlic and a lady with a million shopping bags. I can’t even move. But hey, at least I’m not outside in the rain. When I finally get home, I crash on my couch. I’m exhausted but happy. Today was a rollercoaster. Abraveses, you crazy little town, you never fail to surprise me. I wouldn’t trade these chaotic days for anything.
