Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Alfena, right? The sun was shining, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to get ready. You know, the whole Maiko thing. The makeup, the kimono, the whole shebang. I was feeling cute, but then I realized I forgot my fan. Ugh! Rushed outta my place on Rua da Liberdade, like a madwoman. So, I’m walking down the street, and it’s packed. Like, what’s up with that? Alfena’s usually chill, but today? Nah. I bump into this dude selling pastel de nata. I mean, who can resist that? I bought one, and it was heavenly. But then, I dropped it! Like, seriously? My heart shattered. Anyway, I kept walking, trying to shake it off. I hit up Avenida da República, and guess what? There’s a street performer doing some crazy dance moves. I stopped to watch, and he totally pulled me in. I was clapping and laughing, feeling all the good vibes. But then, outta nowhere, a pigeon poops on my shoulder. Like, really? I’m just tryna enjoy my day! I wiped it off, trying to keep my cool. I mean, it’s Alfena, right? Gotta roll with the punches. So, I decided to head to the park, Parque de Alfena. It’s my fave spot. I plopped down on a bench, just chillin’. But then, this kid runs by, kicks a ball, and it hits me right in the leg. Ouch! I was like, “Hey, watch it, mini soccer star!” But then, I saw this old couple feeding the ducks. Aww, it was so cute! Made me smile. I thought about how love can be simple, ya know? Just feeding ducks in Alfena. After that, I was feeling a bit better. I strolled down Rua de São Pedro, and I spotted this little café. I needed caffeine, like, yesterday. I ordered a bica, and the barista was super nice. We chatted about the weather, and I found out he’s from Porto. I was like, “Dude, you’re in Alfena now! Embrace it!” Then, I got a text from my friend. She was like, “Let’s meet at the square!” So, I rushed over to Praça da República. I was excited to see her. But when I got there, she was late. Classic! I waited, people-watching. There was this guy trying to impress a girl with his skateboard tricks. Spoiler: he fell. Hard. I couldn’t help but laugh. Finally, she showed up, and we hit up this food truck. I got a bifana, and OMG, it was so good! We were just chatting, laughing, and then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. Like, seriously? I thought I was in a rom-com. We ran for cover, laughing like crazy. By the time the rain stopped, I was soaked but happy. We decided to walk around, and I showed her my favorite spots. We ended up at the old church on Rua da Igreja. It’s beautiful, and I love the vibe there. As the sun set, I felt this wave of gratitude. Alfena, with all its quirks, made my day wild. I mean, from pigeon poop to food trucks, it was a rollercoaster. But that’s life, right? Full of surprises. So, yeah, that was my day. Intense, emotional, and totally unforgettable. Alfena, you crazy, but I love ya!
