Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Arcos-de-Valdevez, right? This little gem in Portugal, all chill vibes and nature. I mean, who wouldn’t love the sound of the River Vez flowing by? It’s like nature’s own soundtrack. But today? Today was a whole different story. First off, I hit the streets of Rua da Igreja. I was just tryna grab a coffee, you know? But the café was packed! Like, what’s up with that? I mean, it’s a Tuesday, not a weekend fiesta! I finally squeezed in, ordered my usual—bica, ofc—and waited. And waited. I swear, I could’ve read a novel in that time. Finally, I got my coffee, but it was cold! Ugh, I was fuming. Cold coffee in Arcos? No way! So, I decided to take a stroll down Rua do Comércio. It’s a cute street, full of shops and stuff. I was just vibing, thinking about life, when I bumped into this old dude. He was selling handmade crafts. I mean, they were kinda cool, but he was super chatty. Like, I didn’t sign up for a history lesson on Arcos-de-Valdevez, man! But he was passionate, so I just nodded along. He told me about the castle ruins nearby. I was like, “Yeah, I’ll check it out later.” Spoiler alert: I didn’t. Then, outta nowhere, it started pouring! I mean, come on! I didn’t bring an umbrella. Typical, right? So, I ducked into a little shop on Rua da Lapa. It was cozy, and the smell of pastries hit me like a brick wall. I couldn’t resist. I grabbed a pastel de nata. OMG, best decision ever! It was warm, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. Happiness level: 100! After the rain stopped, I decided to head to the Parque de Merendas. It’s this lovely park by the river, perfect for chilling. I plopped down on a bench, feeling all zen. But then, I saw a bunch of kids playing soccer. They were wild! Kicking the ball everywhere, laughing, and just having a blast. I got a bit nostalgic, you know? Reminded me of my childhood. I wanted to join, but I’d probably trip and fall flat on my face. So, I just cheered them on like a proud parent. But then, drama alert! One of the kids kicked the ball too hard, and it went straight into the river. I was like, “Oh no, not the ball!” The kid freaked out, and I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, it was just a ball, right? But the kid was ready to dive in! I had to step in and be the adult. “Chill, buddy! We’ll get it later.” I felt like a hero for a sec. As the sun started to set, I walked back through the streets, feeling all the feels. Arcos-de-Valdevez was glowing. The light hitting the old buildings was magical. I passed by the Igreja de São Paio, and it looked stunning. I snapped a pic, ofc. Gotta show off my day, right? But then, I got a text from my friend. “Let’s hit the bar later!” I was like, “Sure, why not?” So, I headed to the local bar on Rua da Praça. It was packed, but the vibe was lit! We laughed, shared stories, and I even tried some local wine. Not gonna lie, it was smooth. I felt like I was living my best life. But then, the night took a turn. My friend spilled wine all over me! I was like, “Dude, what the heck?” But we both just burst out laughing. I mean, it’s just wine, right? I can wash my clothes. But the look on his face was priceless. So, yeah, that was my day in Arcos-de-Valdevez. Full of ups and downs, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
