Man, today was a wild ride in Arrifana! Like, I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day, ya know? But nah, the universe had other plans. So, I’m strolling down Rua da Praia, right? The sun’s shining, waves crashing, and I’m feeling all artsy. I’m like, “Let’s get some inspo for my next project.” But then, BAM! I trip over a rock. Classic me. I’m sprawled out, looking like a total fool. A couple of surfers laugh, and I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, I’m just testing the ground for my next masterpiece.” After that little fiasco, I hit up this cute café on Rua da Igreja. The coffee? Fire. But the barista? Ugh, she was having a day. I ordered a cappuccino, and she gave me a flat white. I’m like, “Girl, I asked for froth, not a flat tire!” But whatever, I just rolled with it. Then I decided to walk along the cliffs. OMG, the views! The cliffs of Arrifana are insane. I mean, turquoise waters, golden sands, and those dramatic cliffs? I could’ve stayed there forever. But then, I see this group of tourists. They’re taking selfies, and I’m like, “Dude, you’re missing the whole point!” I mean, how can you capture this beauty with a phone? But then, surprise surprise! I bump into an old friend from art school. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We start reminiscing about our crazy projects and how we thought we’d be famous by now. Spoiler alert: we’re not. But it felt good to laugh about it. So, we decide to grab lunch at this little spot on Rua do Pescador. The seafood there is to die for! I mean, I could eat grilled sardines every day. But then, the waiter spills a whole plate of calamari on my lap. I’m like, “Dude, I didn’t order a seafood bath!” But honestly, I couldn’t even be mad. It was too ridiculous. After lunch, we hit the beach. The sand was warm, and the water was refreshing. I even tried to sketch the landscape, but my pencil broke. Of course! Just my luck. I’m sitting there, frustrated, when this little kid runs up to me. He’s like, “Can I draw with you?” And I’m like, “Sure, kid. Just don’t outshine me, okay?” We end up drawing together, and it was the highlight of my day. His doodles were wild! I mean, who knew a kid could draw a dragon surfing? I was cracking up. As the sun started to set, I felt this wave of gratitude. Arrifana, with its quirky streets and stunning views, had given me a day full of surprises. I mean, yeah, I tripped, got coffee wrong, and had calamari on my lap, but it was all part of the adventure. I headed back home, feeling all the feels. I realized that sometimes, the best days are the ones that don’t go as planned. Arrifana, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s chaos!
