Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness in Azambuja. Like, where do I even start? So, I woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it decided to take a day off. Thanks, technology! I rushed outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. You know the drill. I was out the door in record time, but not before spilling coffee all over my shirt. Classic me, right? First stop, the train station. Azambuja’s got this cute little station, right by the Avenida da Liberdade. I sprinted there, dodging people like I was in some weird video game. I mean, who knew a Tuesday morning could be so packed? I barely made the train. Phew! On the train, I was squished between a guy who smelled like he bathed in garlic and a lady who was on her phone, talking about her cat’s diet. I mean, come on! Who cares? But then, I spotted this amazing view of the Tagus River. The sun was shining, and for a sec, I forgot about the garlic dude. Finally, I got to Azambuja. The streets were buzzing. I hit up Rua da Estação first. It’s like the heart of the town. I grabbed a pastel de nata from this little bakery. OMG, it was heavenly! Flaky, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I could’ve eaten a dozen. But then, bam! My phone buzzed. Work stuff. Ugh. I’m the nomenclature guy, remember? I had to meet with some folks about new scientific specialties. So, I headed to the town hall on Praça da República. Now, let me tell you, the town hall is this old, beautiful building. But inside? Total chaos! People everywhere, papers flying. I was like, “Is this a meeting or a circus?” I finally found my crew, and we started talking about all these new specialties. Honestly, some of them were wild. Like, who even thinks of “Quantum Gardening”? But then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm went off. Panic mode activated! Everyone was scrambling. I thought, “Great, just what I need.” We all spilled out onto the street, and I ended up chatting with this cool guy named Miguel. He was super chill, and we bonded over our mutual dislike for fire drills. After the chaos, I needed a breather. I strolled down Rua da Liberdade, just soaking it all in. The vibe was so chill. Kids were playing, old folks were chatting, and I even saw a dog wearing a sweater. Like, who dresses their dog in Azambuja? It was hilarious! Then, I hit up a local bar. You know, just to unwind. I ordered a beer, and the bartender was this funny dude. He told me about the best spots in town. Apparently, there’s a hidden garden somewhere. I gotta find it! As the sun started to set, I walked back to the train station. The sky was all pink and orange. It was one of those moments where you just stop and appreciate life, ya know? But then, I tripped over a curb. Classic! I laughed it off, though. So, yeah, that was my day in Azambuja. Full of surprises, chaos, and a bit of magic. I’m exhausted but happy. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
