Man, what a day! I swear, being a shepherd in Benedita is never boring. So, I wake up early, right? Like, before the sun even thinks about rising. I’m out there, herding my sheep, just me and the sound of bleating. But today? Oh boy, today was a whole different story. First off, I decide to take a stroll down Rua da Liberdade. It’s a chill street, you know? But then, outta nowhere, I see this huge truck blocking the road. Like, c’mon, man! I’m just trying to get my sheep to the pasture. I’m standing there, waving my arms like a madman, but the driver just looks at me like I’m some kind of circus act. I mean, really? You can’t see the flock of sheep behind me? Ugh, so annoying! After finally getting past that mess, I head over to the market on Rua da Praça. I love that place! Fresh veggies, local cheese, and the best bread. I grab some pão de ló, my guilty pleasure. But then, I bump into old Maria. She’s always got some gossip. “Did you hear about the new café on Rua da Escola?” she says. I’m like, “No, but I’m all ears!” Turns out, they’ve got the best coffee in town. I’m thinking, “Great, just what I need, more caffeine!” So, I’m feeling good, right? I’m walking back, munching on my pão de ló, when I see a bunch of kids playing football in the square. They’re kicking the ball around, laughing, having a blast. I can’t help but smile. Reminds me of my childhood, you know? But then, one of them kicks the ball too hard, and it goes straight into my sheep! Like, seriously?! My poor sheep just looks confused. I’m like, “Hey, watch it, kids!” They just laugh and run off. Kids these days, no respect! Then, I decide to head to the café on Rua da Escola. I’m thinking, “Let’s see if this place lives up to the hype.” I walk in, and it’s packed! People everywhere, chatting, sipping coffee. I finally get my cup, and wow, it’s strong! Like, I can feel my heart racing. I sit down, trying to enjoy it, but then this guy next to me starts talking about politics. Ugh, can’t we just enjoy our coffee in peace? I’m rolling my eyes, trying to tune him out. After that, I head back to the fields. But guess what? My sheep decided to take a detour. They’re munching on some random flowers by the side of the road. I’m like, “No, no, no! Not the flowers!” I’m chasing them down Rua da Liberdade again, and I’m pretty sure I looked ridiculous. But hey, it’s Benedita, right? Everyone knows me as the crazy shepherd. Finally, I get them back on track. I’m exhausted, but then I see the sunset over the hills. It’s beautiful, man. The sky’s all orange and pink. I take a moment to breathe it in. This is why I love Benedita. It’s got its quirks, its chaos, but it’s home. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another wild day in Benedita!
