Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Bougado, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m a document specialist, which sounds fancy but really just means I deal with papers all day. Boring, I know. But today? Oh boy. I’m at the office on Rua da Liberdade, and I’m knee-deep in some crazy files. Like, who even needs this many documents? I swear, I could build a fort with all this paper. Then, outta nowhere, my boss storms in. He’s all like, “We need to get this done ASAP!” I’m thinking, “Dude, chill. It’s just paperwork.” But no, he’s got that look in his eyes. You know the one. The “I haven’t had my coffee” look. So, I’m rushing, typing like a madman, and I spill my coffee all over the papers. Ugh! The horror! I’m freaking out, trying to save the documents. I’m dabbing them with napkins like I’m performing some kind of paper surgery. And my coworker, Ana, just laughs. Like, thanks, Ana. Real supportive. After that mess, I decide to take a breather. I head out to the park on Avenida da República. It’s a nice spot, you know? Trees, benches, the whole vibe. I sit down, trying to calm my nerves. But then, I see this kid flying a kite. And I’m like, “Wow, that’s so cool!” But then the kite gets stuck in a tree. Classic. The kid starts crying, and I’m like, “Dude, it’s just a kite.” But I get it. I mean, I’d cry too if my paper fort got wrecked. So, I help the kid. I climb the tree like I’m some kind of superhero. I’m up there, branches scratching my arms, and I finally grab the kite. The kid’s face lights up, and I’m like, “Yeah, I’m a hero now.” But then I realize I’m stuck. Great. Just great. I’m up there, and I can hear people laughing. Awesome. Finally, I manage to shimmy down, kite in hand, and the kid runs off, happy as a clam. But I’m covered in tree sap and looking like a hot mess. I head back to the office, and guess what? My boss is still on my case. “Where’s that report?” he asks. I’m like, “Dude, I just saved a kid’s kite. Priorities!” The day drags on, and I’m just done. I decide to hit up my favorite café on Rua de São Pedro. Best coffee in Bougado, hands down. I order a bica and a pastel de nata. Life’s little pleasures, right? But then, the barista spills my coffee. Seriously? Is this a conspiracy against me? I’m sitting there, sipping my coffee (finally!) and thinking about how wild today has been. I mean, Bougado is usually chill. But today? It’s like a rollercoaster. I see the sunset over the hills, and it’s beautiful. Makes me forget all the chaos. As I walk home, I pass by the old church on Rua da Igreja. It’s so peaceful there. I stop for a sec, take a deep breath, and think, “Tomorrow’s gotta be better.” So yeah, that was my day in Bougado. Full of ups and downs, kites and coffee spills. But hey, that’s life, right? Just gotta roll with it.
