Man, what a day! Seriously, Branca is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring Tuesday. Nope! Not in this city. First off, I hit the streets of Rua da Liberdade. You know, the one that’s always buzzing? I’m just strolling, minding my own biz, when I see this dude juggling oranges. Like, who juggles oranges at 8 AM? I mean, c’mon! But hey, it made me smile. I even thought about joining him, but I can barely catch a ball, let alone fruit. Then, I head over to Praça da República. It’s usually chill, but today? Nah. There was this protest happening. People were shouting about something—honestly, I couldn’t catch it all. But the energy was insane! I felt pumped, like I should be shouting too. But then I thought, “Nah, I’ll just stick to my coffee.” Speaking of coffee, I hit up my fave spot, Café Central. Best bica in town, no cap. I order my usual, and the barista, Miguel, is like, “You again?” I mean, yeah, I’m a regular! But he’s cool. We chat about the weather, and he says it’s gonna rain. Great, just what I need. So, I’m sipping my coffee, and suddenly, BOOM! A pigeon poops right next to me. Like, seriously? I’m just trying to enjoy my drink! I laugh it off, but inside, I’m like, “Why me?” After that, I decide to take a walk down Avenida da Liberdade. It’s a beautiful street, lined with trees and shops. But then, I see this old lady struggling with her groceries. I rush over, feeling like a superhero. I help her carry them to her place on Rua do Comércio. She’s super grateful, and I’m like, “No biggie!” But honestly, it felt good to help. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into my buddy, Tiago. He’s always got some crazy story. Today, he tells me he got chased by a dog while jogging. I can’t stop laughing! I mean, who gets chased by a dog? But then he says it was a Rottweiler. Okay, that’s a bit scary. Later, I head to the local market on Rua da Estação. It’s packed! I’m dodging people left and right. I grab some fresh veggies, and this vendor starts haggling with me. I’m like, “Dude, I just want some tomatoes!” But he’s relentless. I finally just pay him and walk away, shaking my head. As the day goes on, I’m feeling a mix of emotions. Happy, annoyed, surprised. It’s like Branca has a way of throwing everything at you. I decide to chill at the riverfront. The view is stunning, especially at sunset. I sit there, just soaking it all in. But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I can’t help but eavesdrop. They’re fighting about…wait for it…who left the lights on! I mean, really? That’s what you’re fighting about? I chuckle to myself. Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. Branca, you crazy city! You’ve got my heart racing and my mind spinning. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
