Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Buarcos, right? Sun’s shining, waves crashing. I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Rua da Praia for breakfast. You know, the usual—coffee and a pastel de nata. But guess what? The café ran out of natas! Like, how do you run out of those? I was ready to throw a fit. I mean, c’mon, it’s Buarcos! You gotta have natas on deck! So, I settled for a croissant. Not the same, but whatever. Then, I had to head to the office on Avenida da Liberdade. Traffic was a nightmare. I swear, I saw a guy on a bike almost get hit by a car. Like, dude, you’re in Buarcos, not a race track! I was yelling in my car, “Use the bike lane, man!” But he just zoomed past like he was in the Tour de France or something. Finally, I get to work, and my boss is all like, “We need to analyze these stocks ASAP.” I’m like, “Dude, chill. I just got here.” But no, he’s on a rampage. So, I dive into spreadsheets. Numbers everywhere. My brain’s frying. I’m sweating bullets. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Miguel. He’s like, “Let’s hit the beach after work!” I’m like, “Sure, if I survive this day.” But then, I get a call from a client. They’re freaking out about their investments. I’m trying to calm them down, but inside, I’m like, “Why did I choose this job?” After what felt like an eternity, I finally wrap up. I bolt outta the office, ready to hit the beach. But guess what? It starts pouring! Like, seriously? Buarcos, you’re kidding me! I’m drenched in seconds. I’m laughing and crying at the same time. I run to the beach anyway. The waves are wild, crashing against the rocks. I see Miguel and the crew huddled under an umbrella, looking like wet puppies. We’re all laughing, just soaking it in. I mean, who cares about the rain? We’re in Buarcos! Then, the sun peeks out. It’s like the universe is saying, “Surprise!” We jump in the water, and it’s freezing! But it feels amazing. We’re splashing around, acting like kids. I forget about the stress, the spreadsheets, everything. Just pure joy. Later, we hit up a local spot on Rua da Alegria for some seafood. I order the grilled sardines. OMG, they’re to die for! I’m stuffing my face, and Miguel’s telling the worst dad jokes. I’m rolling my eyes but can’t stop laughing. As the sun sets, the sky turns this insane orange. I’m sitting there, feeling grateful. Buarcos, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. Even with the chaos, the rain, and the stress, you always manage to surprise me. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Buarcos, you’re a wild ride, and I’m here for it!
