OMG, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a Personal Shopping Assistant, right? And today was just... wow. I woke up in Carcavelos, sun shining, birds chirping, you know the vibe. I was like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Avenida de Lisboa. I mean, who doesn’t love a good stroll there? But then, BAM! I step in a puddle. Like, who even leaves puddles in the middle of the street? Ugh! My shoes are ruined. I’m fuming, but whatever, I gotta keep it movin’. Next stop, the market on Rua da Liberdade. I’m all about those fresh fruits, right? So I’m browsing, and this old lady starts haggling with the vendor. I’m just standing there, like, “Lady, it’s a peach, not a diamond!” But she’s relentless. I’m cracking up, but also kinda annoyed. I mean, c’mon, it’s just a peach! Then, I get a call from a client. She’s like, “I need a dress for a wedding!” I’m like, “Sure, no prob!” But then she drops the bomb: “It’s in two hours.” WHAT?! I’m sprinting down Rua da Praia, dodging tourists and their selfie sticks. Seriously, who needs that many pics of the beach? I finally find a cute boutique on Rua do Norte. I’m in there, flipping through dresses, and I spot THE ONE. It’s gorgeous, like, wow. But then, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some dude just knocked over a rack of clothes. I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing?!” He just shrugs and walks out. Rude! So, I grab the dress and rush to the fitting room. I’m sweating bullets, like, “Please fit, please fit!” And it does! I’m feeling like a rockstar. But then, I realize I forgot to check the price. I’m like, “Oh no, please don’t be expensive.” I ask the shopkeeper, and it’s like, “€150.” I’m like, “What?! For a dress?!” But I can’t let my client down, so I swipe my card. Now I’m racing back to Avenida de Lisboa to meet her. I’m practically running, and I see this cute café. I’m like, “Coffee first, then client.” I grab a bica, and it’s like heaven in a cup. I’m feeling good again, but then I spill it all over my shirt. Great. Just great. Finally, I meet my client at the beach. She’s late, of course. I’m standing there, looking like a hot mess. But when she sees the dress, her face lights up. I’m like, “Yesss, I did good!” She tries it on, and it’s perfect. She’s twirling, and I’m just standing there, grinning like an idiot. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m in Carcavelos, and it’s sunny one minute, pouring the next. We dash for cover under a beach bar. I’m soaked, but we’re laughing. I mean, what else can you do? After the rain, the sky clears up, and we see a rainbow. I’m like, “Okay, universe, you win.” It was a wild day, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Carcavelos, you crazy, but I love ya! So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
