Man, today was a wild ride in Caxias! Like, I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring day, but boy, was I wrong. First off, I spilled coffee all over my favorite shirt. Classic, right? I mean, who doesn’t love starting their day with a fashion disaster? So, I hop on the bus at Rua 25 de Abril, and it’s packed. Like, sardines in a can packed. I’m squished between this dude who smells like he just ran a marathon and a lady with a million bags. I’m thinking, “Caxias, why you gotta do me like this?” Finally, I get to work at this office near the Praça do Comércio. I’m all set to tackle my emails, but then the internet goes down. Seriously? In 2023? I’m sitting there, staring at my screen like it owes me money. I mean, come on, Caxias, get your tech together! Then, outta nowhere, my boss bursts in. He’s all hyped up about some new project. I’m like, “Dude, can we not? I’m still recovering from my coffee incident.” But he’s all, “This is gonna change everything!” I’m thinking, “Yeah, right. Just like the last five projects.” Lunchtime rolls around, and I decide to hit up that little pastelaria on Rua da Liberdade. Best pastéis de nata in town, no cap! I grab a couple and sit outside, soaking in the sun. Caxias is beautiful, man. The trees, the vibe, the people. I see this kid playing futebol, and it just hits me—life’s good sometimes, ya know? But then, I hear this loud crash. I look over, and some guy just knocked over a whole cart of fruits. Bananas everywhere! I’m laughing so hard, but then I see the vendor’s face. Poor dude looked like he was about to cry. I helped him pick up some of the mess, and he gave me a free banana. Score! After work, I decide to take a stroll down Avenida dos Combatentes. The sunset was insane! Like, orange and pink everywhere. I’m snapping pics, feeling all artsy. But then, I trip over a crack in the sidewalk. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out, and this group of teenagers starts laughing. I just wave it off like, “Yeah, I meant to do that.” Then, I hit up a bar on Rua da Estação. I needed a drink after that day. I order a beer, and the bartender’s like, “You look like you need it.” I’m like, “You have no idea, my friend.” We start chatting, and he tells me about this hidden gem of a restaurant nearby. I’m intrigued. As I’m leaving, I bump into an old friend from high school. We haven’t seen each other in ages! We start reminiscing about our crazy days at Caxias Secondary School. Man, those were the days! We decide to grab dinner together at that restaurant the bartender mentioned. Dinner was a blast! We laughed, shared stories, and I even tried some dish I can’t pronounce. It was surprisingly good! Caxias has some hidden culinary treasures, for real. By the time I got home, I was exhausted but happy. I mean, what a day! From coffee spills to banana disasters, to reconnecting with an old friend. Caxias, you’re a rollercoaster, but I wouldn’t trade you for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, emotional, and totally unexpected day in Caxias. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
