Man, what a day! Seriously, Chaves is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just another day as a sports psychologist. But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Chaves, right? I’m strolling down Rua da Misericórdia, and boom! I see this kid, maybe 10 years old, juggling oranges. Like, who juggles oranges at 8 AM? I’m thinking, “Dude, you’re gonna get hit by a car!” But he’s got skills, I’ll give him that. Made me smile, though. Then I head to the café on Avenida 1º de Maio. I order my usual, a galão and a pastel de nata. But the barista? She’s like, “Sorry, we’re out.” Out?! At 9 AM?! I was ready to throw a fit. But I just laughed it off. I mean, it’s Chaves, not New York. After that, I had a session with this athlete, right? He’s a football player, super talented but totally in his head. We met at the Estádio Municipal, and let me tell you, that place has vibes. I’m trying to get him to chill, but he’s all “What if I mess up?” I’m like, “Dude, you’re not gonna mess up. Just kick the ball!” But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, torrential downpour. We’re both soaked, and I’m thinking, “Great, now I’m a wet dog.” But he starts laughing, and I can’t help but join in. It was ridiculous. So, we wrap up the session, and I’m walking back through the Parque de la Cidade. It’s beautiful, but the rain made it look like a scene from a movie. I’m feeling all philosophical, like, “Life is like this park, sometimes it’s sunny, sometimes it’s a mess.” Then I bump into an old friend from high school. We haven’t seen each other in ages. He’s like, “Dude, remember that time we got lost in the castle?” I’m like, “Of course! We thought we were gonna die!” We laughed so hard, people were staring. But then, I get a call from a client. She’s freaking out about her upcoming competition. I’m trying to calm her down, but my phone dies. Just my luck, right? I’m standing there, in the middle of Chaves, feeling like a total loser. I finally find a charger at a random shop on Rua do Comércio. The guy there is super chill, and we start chatting about the local football team. He’s all about the Chaves team, and I’m like, “Yeah, they need to step it up!” By the time I leave, I’m feeling pumped. I head to the thermal baths because, why not? I need to relax after this crazy day. Soaking in that hot water, I’m thinking, “This is life.” But then, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m trying to relax, and they’re ruining my zen. I’m like, “Can you not? I’m trying to chill here!” Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. Chaves is a rollercoaster, man. One minute you’re juggling oranges, the next you’re soaked in the rain, and then you’re in a hot bath listening to a couple fight. What a day! I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Chaves, you crazy, but I love ya!
