Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Corroios, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m heading down Rua da Liberdade, and I trip over my own feet. Classic me. I’m like, “Great start, dude.” But whatever, I brush it off. I get to the office, and it’s chaos. Papers everywhere! I’m a document specialist, not a paper ninja! So, I’m sorting through this mountain of files. I mean, who even needs this many documents? I find stuff from like, 2010. Who’s keeping this? I’m sweating bullets, trying to find this one contract. It’s like looking for a needle in a haystack. Then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Miguel. He’s like, “Yo, let’s hit up the café on Avenida da República later!” I’m like, “Sure, but I gotta survive this first.” Finally, I find the contract. I’m feeling like a champ! But then, BAM! The printer jams. Ugh! I’m ready to throw it out the window. I mean, come on! It’s 2023! How is this still a thing? After what feels like an eternity, I fix the printer. I’m a hero! But then, I spill coffee all over my notes. I’m like, “Nooooo!” It’s a disaster. I’m laughing and crying at the same time. Lunchtime rolls around, and I’m starving. I head to the little bakery on Rua 1º de Maio. Best pastéis de nata ever! I grab one, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I’m feeling good again. But then, I see this guy on the street. He’s juggling. I’m like, “Dude, you’re gonna drop that!” And guess what? He drops it. I can’t help but laugh. It’s just one of those days, ya know? After lunch, I’m back at it. More documents, more chaos. I swear, if I see one more misplaced file, I might lose it. But then, I get a call from my mom. She’s like, “You need to come visit!” I’m like, “Mom, I’m drowning in paper!” But I love her, so I promise I’ll go. Finally, the day winds down. I’m exhausted. I meet Miguel at that café. We sit outside, and I’m just venting about my day. He’s cracking jokes, and I’m laughing so hard I almost spill my drink. As the sun sets over Corroios, I realize, despite the madness, it’s home. The streets, the people, the chaos—it’s all part of the charm. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
