Man, what a day in Coruche! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the Mercado Municipal. You know, the one on Rua da Liberdade? I’m there, just trying to grab some fresh veggies. But nooo, the place is packed! Like, where did all these people come from? I’m dodging carts and old ladies like I’m in some sort of obstacle course. And then, bam! I spill my coffee all over this dude’s fresh fish. I mean, who knew fish could smell worse? He was NOT happy. I just laughed it off, but inside I was like, “Dude, chill. It’s just a little caffeine!” After that, I needed a breather. So, I strolled down Avenida da República. Beautiful street, right? Trees everywhere, and the vibe is just... nice. But then, I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, it was kinda catchy. I’m standing there, tapping my foot, and suddenly, he looks at me and says, “Join me!” I’m like, “What? Me? Nah, man.” But he keeps pushing, and before I know it, I’m dancing like a fool in the middle of the street. People are laughing, and I’m just there, living my best life. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. I’m soaked in seconds. I’m running for cover, and guess where I end up? The café on Rua 1º de Maio. I’m dripping wet, looking like a drowned rat, and the barista just stares at me. I’m like, “One coffee, please. And a towel?” She just rolls her eyes and hands me a napkin. Rude, but whatever. So, I’m sitting there, sipping my coffee, and I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it about... I don’t even know. Something about the best pastel de nata in Coruche. I mean, come on! There are more important things to fight about! But it’s hilarious. I’m trying not to laugh, but I can’t help it. After that, I decide to check out the Parque da Cidade. It’s a nice spot, you know? I’m walking around, and I see this little kid feeding ducks. Super cute, right? But then, the ducks start chasing him! I’m dying laughing. The kid’s screaming, and the ducks are like, “We want bread!” It was chaos, but the best kind. Then, I bump into an old friend from high school. We haven’t seen each other in ages! We’re catching up, and he tells me he’s opening a new restaurant on Rua da Estação. I’m like, “Dude, that’s awesome! I’ll be your first customer!” But then he says he’s serving vegan food. I’m like, “Ugh, really? No meat?” But whatever, I’ll support him. As the day winds down, I’m walking back home, and I can’t help but think about how wild it was. Coruche is such a mix of everything. One minute you’re dancing in the street, the next you’re dodging ducks. It’s unpredictable, and I love it. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Coruche, you never fail to keep me on my toes!
