Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Esmoriz, right? The sun was blazin’ through my window on Rua da Liberdade. I mean, who needs an alarm when the sun’s basically screaming at you? First thing I did? Hit up that little café on Avenida da Praia. You know the one? The one with the best pastéis de nata. I swear, those things are like little bites of heaven. I ordered two, because why not? Gotta fuel up for the day, right? But then, the barista—this dude with a wild beard—totally messed up my order. I got a black coffee instead of a latte. Like, come on, man! I’m not trying to drink jet fuel this early. So, I’m chugging this bitter brew, and I’m like, “Whatever, I’ll just write some lyrics.” I found a bench near the beach, you know, by the dunes. The waves were crashing, and I was vibing. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches my second pastel! I’m just sitting there, mouth agape, like, “Did that just happen?” I mean, I know seagulls are thieves, but this was next level. After that, I decided to stroll down Rua 25 de Abril. It’s a chill street, lots of cool shops. I popped into this vintage store. Found an old guitar pick that looked like it belonged to some rock legend. I was like, “This is my lucky day!” But then, I dropped it. It rolled under a rack, and I had to crawl on the floor like a total weirdo to get it back. The shopkeeper just stared at me, probably thinking I was nuts. Then, I hit up the park near the Esmoriz train station. You know, the one with the big fountain? I sat there, strumming my guitar, trying to get some inspiration. But then, this kid runs by, kicks a soccer ball, and it smacks me right in the leg! I was like, “Dude, watch it!” But he just laughed and kept running. Kids these days, man. No respect! But then, something amazing happened. I started playing this tune, and a couple of people gathered around. They were clapping and singing along! I felt like a rockstar for a hot minute. It was wild! I even got a few euros tossed my way. I was on cloud nine, man. But then, just as I was riding that high, it started pouring. Like, outta nowhere! I grabbed my stuff and ran for cover. I ducked into this little bar on Rua da Alegria. It was cozy, and the vibe was chill. I ordered a drink, and the bartender was super cool. We started chatting about music, and he told me about this local band playing later that night. I was like, “I’m so there!” So, I dried off, and after a bit, I headed to the venue. It was packed! The energy was electric. I squeezed my way to the front, and the band was fire! They played this one song that just hit me right in the feels. I was dancing, singing, and just living my best life. But then, I got a little too into it and spilled my drink all over this guy next to me. I was mortified! I kept apologizing, but he just laughed it off. “It’s all good, man! Just adds to the vibe!” I was like, “Dude, you’re a legend!” By the end of the night, I was exhausted but so happy. I walked back home, the streets of Esmoriz lit up, feeling like I’d just lived a whole movie in one day. I mean, from coffee disasters to seagull heists to impromptu gigs, it was a rollercoaster. So yeah, Esmoriz, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
