Man, what a day! I swear, Estremoz really knows how to throw a curveball. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring day crunching numbers, but boy, was I wrong. So, I’m strolling down Rua da Liberdade, right? Just me and my coffee, feeling all chill. Then, BAM! I see this huge crowd by the castle. Like, what’s going on? Turns out, there’s some festival or something. I mean, who doesn’t love a good festa? I’m thinking, “Great, I’ll just pop in for a sec.” But nooo, it’s packed! People everywhere, music blasting. I’m trying to navigate through the throngs of folks, dodging kids and old ladies with their shopping bags. I’m like, “Excuse me, coming through!” But they’re all too busy dancing or whatever. Finally, I make it to the front. And guess what? They’re doing this crazy traditional dance. I’m standing there, just watching, and suddenly I feel this urge to join in. So, I do! I’m flailing my arms, trying to keep up. I probably looked ridiculous, but who cares? I was having a blast! Then, outta nowhere, I trip over my own feet. Classic me, right? I land right in front of this cute girl. She’s laughing, and I’m like, “Great, now I’m the clown of Estremoz.” But she helps me up, and we start chatting. Her name’s Sofia, and she’s got this infectious laugh. We hit it off, and I’m thinking, “Maybe today’s not so bad after all.” But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my boss. Ugh. He’s like, “Where are the reports?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in the middle of a festival!” But he doesn’t care. So, I’m trying to juggle this convo while flirting with Sofia. Talk about multitasking! After a while, I finally escape the crowd and head to my office on Rua da Praça. I’m still buzzing from the festival, but then I see the pile of paperwork waiting for me. It’s like a mountain of doom. I sit down, and it’s all numbers, numbers, numbers. My brain’s fried. I’m staring at the spreadsheets, and I swear, they’re mocking me. I’m like, “Why do I even do this?” But then I remember, I love helping people with their finances. It’s just the boring stuff that gets to me. Suddenly, there’s a knock on the door. It’s my buddy Miguel. He’s got this wild look in his eyes. “Dude, you won’t believe what I just saw!” I’m like, “What now?” He tells me about this hidden gem of a restaurant down by the Praça do Giraldo. Apparently, they have the best bacalhau in town. I’m like, “Let’s go!” So, we head out, and I’m feeling all excited again. We walk through the cobblestone streets, and I can’t help but admire the whitewashed buildings. Estremoz is so beautiful, man. The way the sun hits the castle, it’s like something outta a postcard. We finally find the place, and it’s tiny but cozy. The food is incredible! I’m stuffing my face, and Miguel’s cracking jokes. We’re laughing so hard, I almost choke on my bacalhau. But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s my boss. “Where’s the report?” I’m like, “Dude, chill! I’m eating!” But he’s relentless. I’m getting angrier by the minute. I mean, can’t a guy enjoy a meal in peace? After dinner, I’m feeling full and a bit tipsy from the wine. Miguel and I decide to take a stroll around the castle. The view from up there is insane! You can see all of Estremoz lit up at night. It’s magical. I’m standing there, thinking about how crazy today was. From dancing in the street to eating amazing food, it’s like a rollercoaster of emotions. As we head back, I can’t help but smile. Sure, my boss is a pain, but today reminded me why I love this city. Estremoz is full of surprises, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Estremoz. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
