Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Ferreiras really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, all that jazz. I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First stop, Avenida da Liberdade. I’m there, ready to show some tourists the sights. But guess what? The bus is late. Like, seriously late. I’m standin’ there, lookin’ like a lost puppy. I’m thinkin’, “C’mon, people! I got a schedule!” Finally, the bus rolls up, and it’s packed. I squeeze in, and it’s like a sauna in there. I’m sweating like I just ran a marathon. We hit the streets, and I’m tryin’ to keep the vibe up. I’m like, “Welcome to Ferreiras, folks! Home of the best pastel de nata!” But then, outta nowhere, this guy starts arguing with the driver. I mean, c’mon! We’re in a bus, not a boxing ring! I’m just tryna do my job, ya know? So, we finally get to the Praça da República. It’s beautiful, right? But I’m still fuming. I’m like, “Let’s get this tour started!” But then, I see this street performer. He’s juggling fire! I’m like, “Whoa, dude! Chill with the flames!” But the crowd loves it. I can’t help but smile. Then, we stroll down Rua da Liberdade. It’s got this vibe, man. Cute cafés, little shops. I’m feelin’ good. But then, I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m like, “Great, now I’m the clumsy guide.” But the tourists laugh, and I laugh too. Gotta roll with it! Next, we hit the Mercado Municipal. I’m hyped for the food. I’m like, “You gotta try the chouriço!” But then, I see this kid spill juice everywhere. I’m like, “Oh no, not the juice!” But the mom’s cool about it. She’s like, “Kids, am I right?” And I’m like, “Yeah, tell me about it!” After that, we head to the Igreja Matriz. It’s stunning, man. I’m tryin’ to give a history lesson, but my brain’s fried. I’m like, “So, this church is old. Really old.” The tourists are nodding, but I can see they’re confused. I’m like, “Let’s just take a selfie, yeah?” Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, torrential downpour. I’m soaked! I’m like, “This is NOT in the brochure!” But the tourists are laughing, and I’m like, “Okay, I guess we’re doing a wet tour now!” We duck into a café on Rua da Estação. I’m like, “Coffee, please! And a towel!” The barista’s cool, gives me a free pastry. I’m like, “You’re my hero!” We sit, sipping coffee, and I’m just grateful. Finally, we wrap up the tour. I’m exhausted but happy. I’m like, “Ferreiras, you crazy little town!” I think about all the moments—the bus drama, the fire juggler, the juice spill. It’s wild, but that’s what makes it real, ya know? So, I head home, still soaked, but smiling. Ferreiras, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s adventure!
