Man, what a day! Funchal, you wild city! I woke up thinking it’d be chill, ya know? But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Avenida do Mar. Beautiful views, right? But I’m not here for the views. I’m here to help students find themselves. Sounds deep, huh? But trust me, it’s a rollercoaster. So, I’m walking, and boom! I see this group of students. They’re lost. Like, literally lost. I mean, how do you get lost in Funchal? It’s not that big! I’m like, “Yo, what’s up?” They’re all panicking, looking at their phones like it’s gonna save them. I’m like, “Put the phones down, peeps!” We start chatting, and they’re all stressed about their future. I get it. I was there once. But c’mon, it’s Funchal! You got the ocean, the mountains, and the best poncha in the world! Chill out! Then, outta nowhere, this guy on a scooter zooms by. Almost takes me out! I’m like, “Dude, slow down!” But he just laughs and keeps going. Classic Funchal, right? Next, we head to Mercado dos Lavradores. I love that place! The colors, the smells, the vibe! But these students? They’re still stressing. I’m like, “Look at those fruits! Try the passion fruit! It’s life-changing!” They’re hesitant, but I’m persistent. Finally, they try it, and their faces light up! That’s what I’m talking about! Moments like that make me happy. But then, I see a guy trying to haggle over a fish. Like, dude, it’s a fish! Just buy it! But he’s going back and forth with the vendor. I’m standing there, shaking my head. Funchal, man. After that, we stroll down Rua de Santa Maria. Street art everywhere! I love it! But one of the students is like, “This is weird.” I’m like, “Weird? Nah, it’s art! Embrace it!” But they’re still not convinced. Then, we hit this café. I order a bica, and it’s like heaven in a cup. I’m sipping, and suddenly, I spill it all over myself. Great. Just great. I’m a mess now. But the students laugh, and I’m like, “See? Life’s messy! Just roll with it!” We finally sit down, and I start talking about dreams and goals. I’m all passionate, and they’re actually listening! I’m like, “You guys can do anything! You’re in Funchal! The world is yours!” But then, one student drops a bomb. “I wanna be a professional mermaid.” I’m like, “What?!” But honestly, why not? Funchal’s got the ocean. Go for it! As the day wraps up, we head to the viewpoint at Miradouro do Pico dos Barcelos. The sunset is insane! I’m standing there, feeling all the feels. I’m like, “This is it, guys! This is life!” But then, I realize I left my bag at the café. Panic mode activated! I sprint back, heart racing. But it’s there! Phew! Funchal, you’re testing me today! Finally, I say goodbye to the students. They’re smiling, and I’m feeling all warm inside. Funchal, you crazy city, you’ve done it again. What a day! I’m exhausted but happy. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
