Man, what a day! Seriously, Gandra, you’ve outdone yourself. I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day in this little town, but boy, was I wrong. So, I’m a violin maker, right? Yeah, I know, kinda niche. But I love it. Anyway, I’m in my workshop on Rua da Liberdade, just vibin’ with some wood shavings and glue. I’m working on this sweet Strad copy. Like, it’s gonna be fire! But then, BAM! My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Miguel. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the market!” I’m like, “What? Why?” But Miguel’s got that tone. You know the one. So, I grab my tools and head out. The sun’s shining, and I’m feeling good. Gandra’s streets are alive, man! People are out on Avenida da República, chatting, laughing, and I’m just soaking it all in. But then, I hit the market. OMG, it’s packed! I’m dodging people left and right. I swear, I almost tripped over a kid with a balloon. Like, chill, kid! Anyway, I finally find Miguel at this food stall. He’s munching on some bacalhau, and I’m like, “Dude, save me a bite!” But here’s where it gets wild. Miguel’s all hyped about this street performer. So, we wander over, and there’s this guy playing the violin. And not just any violin—my violin! I’m like, “What the heck?!” I mean, it’s a compliment, but also, dude, that’s my baby! I’m fuming, but then I listen. And wow, he’s good. Like, really good. I can’t even be mad. I’m standing there, just vibing to the music, and suddenly, I’m proud. But then, I notice the crowd. They’re all snapping pics, and I’m like, “Hey, that’s my work!” But no one cares. They’re too busy filming the dude. So, I’m standing there, half angry, half proud, when this lady bumps into me. She’s like, “Oh, sorry!” But then she sees my tools and goes, “Are you a violin maker?” I’m like, “Yeah, that’s me!” And she’s all excited, asking about my workshop. I’m thinking, “Wow, maybe I should start giving tours or something.” But then, she asks if I can make her a violin. I’m like, “Sure, but it’ll take time.” And she’s like, “I need it by next week!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m not a magician!” Anyway, I finally escape the market, but not before grabbing a pastel de nata. You can’t go wrong with that, right? I’m walking back, feeling a bit better, when I see this street artist on Rua da Alegria. He’s painting this mural, and it’s stunning! I stop to watch, and he catches my eye. He’s like, “You’re a violin maker, right?” I’m like, “Yeah, how’d you know?” And he goes, “I can feel it in the air.” I’m like, “What? Is that a thing?” But I’m intrigued. We start chatting about art and music, and it’s like we’re vibing on the same wavelength. Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. I’m like, “Seriously, Gandra?!” I dash for cover, but the artist just laughs. He’s like, “Rain’s just nature’s way of cleaning the canvas!” I’m standing there, soaked, but I can’t help but laugh. Finally, I make it back to my workshop, drenched but happy. I sit down with my tools, and I’m like, “What a day!” Gandra, you’re a wild ride. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in Gandra, I guess!
