Man, what a day! I swear, being a tractor driver in Lavradio is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already thinking about the chaos ahead. Lavradio, this little gem in the heart of the Baixada Fluminense, is always buzzing. First thing, I hit the road on Rua da Estação. Traffic? Ugh, don’t even get me started. It’s like everyone decided to take their sweet time today. I’m sittin’ there, honkin’ my horn like a madman. “C’mon, people! I got places to be!” But nah, they’re all just chillin’. Finally, I get to the job site. It’s on Rua Dom Pedro II. You know, the one with that bakery that smells like heaven? I’m drooling just thinkin’ about it. But no time for pastries, I gotta work. So, I hop on my tractor, and let me tell ya, it’s a beast. I’m talkin’ about a real monster. As I’m plowing through the field, I see this kid, maybe 10 years old, trying to fly a kite. The wind’s all over the place, and the poor kid’s struggling. I’m like, “Hey, buddy! You need a hand?” He looks at me like I’m some kinda superhero. I mean, I’m just a dude in a tractor, but whatever. I stop, help him out, and boom! The kite’s up in the air. Kid’s face lights up like Christmas. That made my day, for real. But then, outta nowhere, this old lady starts yelling at me from across the street. “Hey! You’re makin’ too much noise!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m just doin’ my job!” But she’s relentless. I swear, she could give a bull a run for its money. I just roll my eyes and keep going. Later, I’m on Rua Barão de Itambi, and I see this street vendor selling pastel. Man, I can’t resist. I pull over, hop off the tractor, and grab one. It’s crispy, filled with cheese, and I’m in heaven again. But then, I spill some on my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a walking cheese factory. As the day goes on, I’m driving through Lavradio, and I can’t help but notice how beautiful it is. The streets are alive, people are laughing, and there’s this vibe that just hits you. I mean, yeah, it’s chaotic, but it’s home. Then, I get a call. “Hey, we need you at Rua São João!” I’m like, “Seriously? I just got here!” But whatever, I hop back on the tractor and zoom over. The streets are packed, and I’m dodging cars like I’m in a video game. Finally, I get there, and it’s a mess. Construction everywhere. I’m talkin’ about mud, noise, and people everywhere. I’m trying to maneuver my tractor, and this guy walks right in front of me. I slam the brakes. “Dude! What are you doing?” He just shrugs. I mean, come on! By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I park the tractor and head home. As I’m walking down Rua da Estação again, I see that kid with the kite. He waves at me, and I can’t help but smile. Yeah, Lavradio can be a pain sometimes, but it’s got heart. It’s messy, loud, and full of surprises. Just like me, I guess. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
