OMG, what a day! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little flat on Rua da Liberdade, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to get ready for my Maiko gig. You know, the whole deal with the kimono, the makeup, the hair. It’s a whole production! I was running late, ofc. I mean, who doesn’t love a little last-minute panic? I dashed outta my place, tripping over my own feet. Classic me. So, I’m hustling down Avenida da República, and I swear, the traffic was a nightmare. Cars everywhere, honking like they were in a race or something. I was like, “Chill, people! It’s just Macedo-de-Cavaleiros, not a Formula 1 track!” But nooo, they just kept zooming by. Finally, I made it to the venue, all flustered and sweaty. But then, surprise! My friend Sofia was there, and she brought me a pastel de nata. Like, the best thing ever! I took a bite, and it was like heaven in my mouth. I was so happy, I could’ve danced right there. But, you know, I had to keep it together. Then, the show started. I was on fire! The crowd was loving it, and I was feeling myself. But then, outta nowhere, this guy in the front row started heckling me. Like, seriously? Who does that? I was so mad! I wanted to throw my fan at him. But instead, I just gave him a killer side-eye. After the show, I needed to cool off. So, I strolled down Rua do Comércio, looking for a place to grab a drink. I found this cute little café, and the vibe was just right. I ordered a bica, and it was perfect. Just what I needed after that crazy show. But then, guess what? I bumped into my ex. Ugh, the worst! He was with some girl, and they looked all lovey-dovey. I was like, “Really? You couldn’t have picked a better time?” I mean, come on! I tried to act cool, but inside, I was screaming. So, I left the café, feeling all sorts of emotions. I walked past the Igreja Matriz, and it hit me how beautiful Macedo-de-Cavaleiros is. The architecture, the vibe, everything. It’s like a postcard. But then, I remembered my ex and felt all the feels again. I decided to take a walk by the lake. It’s so peaceful there. I sat on a bench, watching the ducks. They were quacking, and I was like, “Ducks have it figured out.” No drama, just swimming and eating. I wish I could be a duck sometimes. As the sun started to set, I felt a wave of calm wash over me. I realized that even with all the craziness, I love this city. Macedo-de-Cavaleiros has its quirks, but it’s home. I mean, where else can you have a pastel de nata, a heckler, and a duck all in one day? So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another wild ride in Macedo-de-Cavaleiros!
