Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Milharado, right? You know, that cozy little town near Lisbon. I was all set for a chill day of analyzing data and sipping coffee at my fave spot, Café Central on Rua da Liberdade. But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit the road, and guess what? Traffic on Avenida da República was a total nightmare. Like, come on! It’s a Tuesday, not a Friday! I was stuck behind this ancient car that looked like it belonged in a museum. I swear, I could’ve walked faster. My patience was wearing thin, and I was already late for a meeting. Ugh! Finally, I made it to the office, and my boss, Miguel, was in a mood. He’s always in a mood, but today? Extra grumpy. He starts ranting about some report I submitted. Like, dude, I spent hours on that! I mean, I get it, numbers can be boring, but c’mon! I thought I nailed it. But no, he wanted more details on the market trends in Milharado. I mean, who even cares about the local bakery’s sales? But whatever, I just nodded and pretended to take notes. After that, I needed a break. So, I dashed to the park on Rua da Escola. It’s this cute little spot with trees and benches. I plopped down, took a deep breath, and tried to chill. But then, outta nowhere, a bunch of kids started playing football. And guess what? One of them kicked the ball right at me! I barely dodged it. I mean, really? I’m not a target practice! I laughed it off, but inside, I was like, “Seriously, universe?” Then, I decided to grab lunch at that new place, O Pão Quente. The sandwiches there are bomb! I ordered a chorizo sandwich, and while I was waiting, I bumped into Sofia, my old friend from high school. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We started catching up, and it was all good vibes until she mentioned she was moving to Lisbon. I felt this weird mix of happiness and jealousy. Like, yay for her, but also, why can’t I just pack up and go? After lunch, I headed back to the office, and guess what? My computer crashed. Yup, all my work gone. I was ready to throw it out the window. I mean, come on! I had to redo everything. I was fuming. I could feel my blood boiling. But then, I remembered the sweet gelato place on Rua do Comércio. I thought, “Screw it, I need ice cream.” So, I took a little detour. The gelato was heavenly! I got a scoop of pistachio and chocolate. It was like a hug in a cone. I sat there, enjoying my treat, and suddenly, everything felt better. I mean, who can stay mad with gelato in hand, right? Later, I finally got back to the office, and Miguel was surprisingly chill. He even complimented my work. I was like, “Wait, what? Did I just enter an alternate universe?” But hey, I’ll take it! As the day wrapped up, I walked home through the streets of Milharado, feeling a mix of exhaustion and relief. The sunset was gorgeous, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. I thought about how crazy the day was. From traffic jams to gelato, it was a rollercoaster. I got home, kicked off my shoes, and plopped on the couch. I was beat but happy. Milharado, you wild little town, you never fail to surprise me. Here’s to more crazy days ahead!
