Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a potter in Mira is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down Rua da Liberdade. Love that street! It’s got this vibe, ya know? But then, BAM! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me. I’m like, “Great start, genius.” My coffee spills everywhere. I’m standing there, looking like a hot mess, and this old lady just laughs at me. Thanks, lady. Real supportive. So, I finally get to my studio on Rua da Igreja. It’s cozy, filled with clay and dreams. I start working on this new vase. I’m feeling it, right? But then, my buddy Miguel pops in. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he’s rambling about a cat that stole his sandwich. I’m like, “Dude, focus! I’m trying to create art here!” But I can’t help but laugh. That cat must’ve been a ninja or something. Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. I’m in the dark, surrounded by clay. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” I grab my phone for light, and guess what? It’s at 2%. Perfect. I’m scrambling, trying to find candles. I knock over a whole shelf of mugs. They shatter everywhere. I’m standing in the middle of a pottery graveyard. Ugh! After that chaos, I decide to take a break. I stroll down to Praça da República. It’s buzzing with life. Street performers, food stalls, people everywhere. I grab a pastel de nata. Best decision ever! I’m munching away, feeling like a king. But then, I see this kid with a balloon. He lets it go, and it flies away. The look on his face? Heartbreaking! I’m like, “Kid, I feel ya. Life’s tough.” Then, I bump into Sofia. She’s this amazing artist. We start chatting about our work, and I’m feeling inspired. But then, she mentions this art show in Lisbon. I’m like, “Lisbon? I can’t even get my pots to stay intact!” But she’s all about encouragement. “You got this!” she says. I’m like, “Yeah, sure, if I don’t break my hands first.” Later, I head back to my studio, and guess what? The power’s back! I’m pumped! I start working on that vase again. I’m in the zone, feeling like Picasso or something. But then, I accidentally mix up my glazes. I’m like, “Noooo!” It’s a disaster waiting to happen. I’m sweating bullets, thinking about how I’ll explain this to my customers. “Uh, yeah, it’s a new style. Very avant-garde.” Finally, I finish the vase. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine. I’m proud, ya know? I step outside, and the sunset over Mira is stunning. The colors are wild, like a painting. I take a deep breath, feeling grateful. This city, with its winding streets and vibrant life, it’s home. So, yeah, today was a rollercoaster. I laughed, I cried (kinda), and I made a mess. But that’s life in Mira, right? Full of surprises, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
