Man, what a day! I swear, being a bodyguard in Moreira is like being in a movie, but not the good kind. More like one of those low-budget thrillers where everything goes wrong. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I’m supposed to meet my client at the Praça da República. Nice spot, but it’s always packed. I get there, and it’s like a scene from a carnival. Kids running around, old folks playing cards, and the smell of grilled sardines wafting through the air. I’m thinking, “Great, I’m gonna have to navigate through this chaos.” So, I’m scanning the crowd, you know, doing my bodyguard thing. Suddenly, I spot my client, a local politician. He’s late, of course. Typical. I’m standing there, trying to look tough, but inside I’m just annoyed. I mean, c’mon, man! You’re the one who’s supposed to be on time! Finally, he shows up, looking all flustered. We start walking down Rua da Liberdade, and I’m keeping my eyes peeled. You never know who’s lurking around. Then, outta nowhere, this dude bumps into me. I’m like, “Watch it, bro!” But he just gives me this look, like he’s seen a ghost or something. I’m thinking, “What’s your deal, man?” We keep walking, and I’m trying to shake off that weird vibe. Then, we hit Avenida da Boavista. It’s a busy street, cars honking, people everywhere. I’m feeling the pressure. My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, asking if I wanna grab a drink later. I’m like, “Dude, I’m working!” But I can’t help but think about that cold beer waiting for me. Suddenly, I hear shouting. I turn around, and there’s this group of guys arguing. My heart’s racing. I’m thinking, “Not today, please!” But of course, it escalates. One guy shoves another, and I’m like, “Oh hell no!” I step in, trying to diffuse the situation. “Hey, chill out, fellas!” But they’re not having it. Next thing I know, fists are flying. I’m in the middle of a brawl, trying to protect my client. It’s chaos! I’m dodging punches, and I’m like, “This is NOT in my job description!” Finally, I manage to separate them, but not before I get a nice bruise on my arm. Great. Just what I needed. After that mess, we finally make it to the café on Rua do Comércio. I’m sweating bullets, and my client’s all shaken up. I order a coffee, trying to calm down. But then, the barista spills it all over the counter. I’m like, “Seriously?!” It’s just one of those days, you know? We sit down, and I’m trying to relax. But then, I see a couple of shady-looking guys outside. My instincts kick in. I’m like, “We gotta go, now!” We bolt outta there, and I’m leading my client through the back streets. I’m thinking, “This is turning into a full-on action movie!” We end up on Rua da Estação, and I’m still on high alert. I can’t shake that feeling. Finally, we reach a safe spot, and I’m like, “Phew!” But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s my buddy, asking if I’m still down for that drink. I’m like, “Dude, I just survived a brawl!” As the sun sets over Moreira, I’m reflecting on the day. It was wild, emotional, and honestly, kinda fun in a twisted way. I’m exhausted, but I can’t help but laugh at the craziness of it all. I mean, who needs a boring day at the office, right? So, I finally head home, bruised but alive. I think about that cold beer waiting for me. Tomorrow’s another day, and who knows what Moreira has in store? But for now, I’m just glad to be off duty. Cheers to that!
