Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Nossa-Senhora-do-Monte, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit the streets of Rua da Liberdade. I mean, who doesn’t love a good morning stroll? But then, bam! I step in a puddle. Like, who even made that puddle? It was like a mini lake! My shoes are soaked, and I’m already grumpy. Great start, right? So, I’m walking, trying to shake it off. I pass by the Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Monte. It’s beautiful, like, seriously stunning. But I’m still mad about my shoes. I’m thinking, “Why can’t I just have one normal day?” Then, I bump into my buddy Miguel. He’s all smiles, like he just won the lottery or something. Turns out, he did! He found a hidden gem of a café on Rua do Comércio. I’m like, “Dude, take me there!” So, we head over, and OMG, the coffee is life-changing. I’m talking about the kind of coffee that makes you wanna dance. I’m feeling good again! But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, torrential downpour. We’re soaked again! I’m laughing, but also like, “Why, universe, why?” We duck into a shop on Rua da Esperança. It’s a cute little place, full of trinkets and random stuff. I find this ridiculous hat. I put it on, and Miguel can’t stop laughing. I look like a total goof, but hey, I’m owning it! After the rain, the sun comes back. Typical Nossa-Senhora-do-Monte weather, right? One minute it’s sunny, the next it’s a monsoon. We decide to hit the viewpoint at Miradouro da Senhora do Monte. The view is insane! You can see the whole city. I’m standing there, feeling all philosophical, like, “Life’s a rollercoaster, man.” But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “C’mon, guys, not here!” It’s awkward, and I’m trying to enjoy the view. I mean, can’t we just have one peaceful moment? Anyway, we head back down, and I’m feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, mad, confused. I stop by a food truck on Rua da Glória. I get a bifana, and it’s the best thing ever. Like, how can something so simple taste so good? I’m in heaven, but then I spill some sauce on my shirt. Classic me, right? As the day winds down, I’m walking back home, and I can’t help but think about how crazy today was. From puddles to coffee to arguments, it was a wild ride. Nossa-Senhora-do-Monte, you never fail to surprise me. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another adventure in the beautiful chaos of Nossa-Senhora-do-Monte. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
