Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Piedade, right? The sun’s blazin’ through my window, and I’m like, “Great, another day of fur and chaos.” I’m a furrier, ya know? Not just any furrier, but the best one in town. Or at least, that’s what I tell myself. First thing, I hit the streets. I’m cruisin’ down Rua da Liberdade, and it’s packed. Like, who knew Piedade could be this lively? I mean, I love my town, but sometimes it feels like a ghost town. But today? Nah, today it’s alive! I’m dodging people left and right, and I’m like, “Excuse me, coming through!” Then, bam! I bump into Maria. She’s this old lady who always yells at me for using fur. “You’re killing the planet!” she says. I’m like, “Lady, I’m just trying to make a living here!” But she’s sweet, in her own way. She hands me a pastel de nata. I mean, who can resist that? I’m munching on it, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. So, I finally get to my shop on Avenida da República. It’s a small place, but it’s mine. I open the door, and the smell of leather hits me. It’s intoxicating. I start working on this gorgeous mink coat. I’m in my zone, you know? Just me and the fur. But then, disaster strikes! My buddy João calls. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the market!” I’m like, “I can’t, I’m busy!” But he’s persistent. “There’s a sale on lamb fur!” Now, I’m torn. Lamb fur? That’s like gold in my world. So, I lock up and head to the market on Rua da Estação. When I get there, it’s a madhouse! People everywhere, haggling like it’s the last sale on Earth. I spot João, and he’s waving like a madman. “Over here!” he shouts. I push through the crowd, and I’m like, “What’s the deal?” He drags me to this stall, and I see it. The most beautiful lamb fur I’ve ever laid eyes on. I’m drooling. But then, this guy swoops in and tries to buy it. I’m like, “No way, man! That’s mine!” We start arguing, and it’s getting heated. I’m ready to throw down over some fur! Finally, the seller steps in. “Alright, alright, I’ll split it.” Thank goodness! I’m relieved, but also kinda mad. Why do people gotta be so pushy? After that, I’m feeling pumped. I head back to my shop, and I’m ready to work. But then, I see this stray cat outside. It’s all scruffy and sad. I can’t help it. I’m a sucker for animals. I take it in, and now I’ve got a new shop mascot. I name him “Furball.” The day’s winding down, and I’m exhausted. But I’m happy. Piedade’s got its quirks, but it’s home. I love the streets, the people, even the crazy old ladies. As I close up shop, I think about tomorrow. More fur, more chaos, and definitely more pastel de nata. Can’t wait!
