Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Ponte, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had a morning gig at the Centro de Artes. You know, translating for this super intense performance. The vibe was electric, but the crowd? Ugh, they were all over the place. I mean, come on, people! It’s not a football match! I’m up there, signing my heart out, and some dude in the front row is on his phone. Like, really? You’re gonna scroll through Instagram while I’m pouring my soul into this? Rude! After that, I needed a breather. So, I hit up Rua da Liberdade. Grabbed a coffee at this cute little café. The barista was super chill, but the coffee? It was like liquid gold. I swear, I could’ve bathed in it. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon swoops down and almost takes my croissant! I’m like, “Dude, back off!” I mean, it’s Ponte, not a bird buffet! Then, I decided to stroll down Avenida da Boavista. The street was buzzing, as usual. Street performers everywhere, and I’m just vibing. I see this guy juggling flaming torches. I’m thinking, “Man, that’s either talent or a trip to the ER waiting to happen.” But hey, it’s Ponte, anything goes, right? So, I’m walking, minding my own business, when I bump into an old friend. We start chatting, and I’m like, “Dude, remember that time we got lost in the Mercado do Bolhão?” Classic! We laughed so hard, I almost cried. But then, out of nowhere, this random guy walks by and yells, “Get a room!” I’m like, “Chill, bro, we’re just friends!” Ponte people can be wild, I swear. After that, I had to rush to my next gig at the Teatro Nacional. I’m running late, of course. I take a shortcut through Rua de Santa Catarina, and it’s packed! I’m dodging tourists left and right. I mean, c’mon, people, it’s not a parade! I finally make it, and guess what? The performance got delayed. Typical Ponte, right? But then, the show starts, and it’s amazing! The energy in the room is insane. I’m translating like a madman, and the audience is loving it. I’m on fire! But then, I see that same dude from the morning show, still on his phone! I’m like, “Dude, put it down! You’re missing the magic!” Finally, the night wraps up, and I’m exhausted but happy. I stroll back through the streets of Ponte, feeling the night air. The lights are twinkling, and I can hear laughter from the bars. I stop by a food truck for a late-night snack. Best decision ever! The guy serving me is hilarious, cracking jokes while making my sandwich. I’m like, “This is why I love Ponte!” So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Ponte keeps you on your toes. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
