Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness in Póvoa de Santo Adrião. Like, where do I even start? So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” LOL, boy was I wrong. I had a meeting with some students at the Centro de Juventude. You know, the place on Rua da Liberdade? Yeah, that one. I thought it’d be a breeze, but nah, it turned into a full-on circus. First off, I get there, and it’s packed. Like, I’m talking more people than a concert. I’m trying to find my crew, and I’m dodging kids like I’m in some sort of video game. Finally, I spot them near the snack bar. They’re munching on pastéis de nata, and I’m like, “Really? You guys are supposed to be focused!” But hey, who can resist those sweet treats, right? Then, outta nowhere, this kid, Miguel, starts ranting about how he wants to be a YouTuber. I mean, cool dream and all, but dude, you gotta have a plan! I’m trying to give him some advice, but he’s just staring at his phone, probably watching some random TikTok. Ugh, kids these days! After that, we head out to the park on Avenida da República. It’s a nice spot, but man, the weather turned. One minute it’s sunny, the next it’s pouring! I’m soaked, and my hair looks like a wet mop. I’m standing there, trying to keep it together, while the kids are laughing and splashing in puddles. I’m like, “This is not how I pictured my day!” But then, something amazing happened. A group of older folks started dancing in the rain. I mean, full-on traditional dance! They were twirling and laughing, and I couldn’t help but join in. I’m not the best dancer, but who cares? We were all just vibing, and for a moment, I forgot about the stress. It was pure joy. After the rain, we decided to grab some food. We hit up this little spot on Rua da Estação. Best bifana I’ve ever had! Seriously, I was in heaven. The kids were still buzzing from the dance, and we were all just chatting about life. It felt good, you know? Like, this is why I do what I do. But then, the day took a turn again. We were walking back, and I saw this guy on the corner of Rua da Alegria selling flowers. He had the saddest look on his face. I felt bad, so I bought a bunch of daisies. I mean, who doesn’t love flowers? But then, as I’m handing them to a random lady passing by, she looks at me like I’m crazy. I’m like, “Chill, it’s just a flower!” By the time we got back to the Centro de Juventude, I was exhausted. But the kids were still hyped. They started talking about their dreams again, and I just sat there, listening. It’s wild how much passion they have. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. So yeah, Póvoa de Santo Adrião, you’ve got my heart. From the chaos to the joy, it was a rollercoaster. I’m still processing it all. I mean, who knew a day could be so intense? But that’s life, right? Full of surprises. Now, I’m just gonna crash. Tomorrow’s another day, and I’m ready for whatever comes next. Bring it on!
