Man, lemme tell ya about my day in Santana. Wow, just wow. I’m a shepherd, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ with my sheep, but today? Today was a whole different ball game. I woke up early, like, way too early. The sun was barely up, and I was already outta bed. I had to head to the city for some supplies. You know, the usual stuff: feed, water, and maybe a treat for my sheep. I took the bus from my little spot near the Parque da Juventude. The bus was packed, like sardines in a can. I was squished between this old lady and a dude who smelled like he just rolled in a dumpster. Ugh. Finally, I got off at Avenida Cruzeiro do Sul. Man, that street is always buzzing. Cars honking, people rushing. I felt like a fish outta water. I mean, I’m used to the quiet of the fields, not this chaos. But hey, I needed my stuff, so I pushed through. First stop? Mercado Municipal. I love that place! It’s got everything. Fresh veggies, meats, and the best cheese. I was in heaven. But then, I saw it. A huge line. Like, what the heck? I thought I’d be in and out. Nope. I stood there for what felt like an eternity. I was getting angrier by the minute. I mean, c’mon! I got sheep waiting for me! Finally, I got my cheese. It was worth the wait, tho. I could practically taste it already. But then, as I was leaving, I bumped into this guy. He was all dressed up, looking fancy. I’m in my shepherd gear, right? He looks at me like I’m a total weirdo. I just laughed it off. Like, dude, I’m the one feeding the world here! Next, I headed down Rua do Triunfo. It’s a nice street, but man, the traffic was insane. I thought I’d never get to the feed store. I was about to lose it. But then, I saw this street performer. He was playing the accordion, and it was actually kinda nice. I stopped for a sec, just to enjoy it. Made me smile, y’know? After that, I finally made it to the feed store. Grabbed a bunch of bags, and guess what? They were outta my favorite brand. I was like, are you kidding me? I had to settle for some generic stuff. My sheep are gonna be so mad at me. On my way back, I took a different route. I walked through Praça da Árvore. It’s a beautiful spot, but today it was packed with people. Kids running around, couples taking selfies. I felt a bit outta place. But then, I saw a little girl feeding pigeons. She was giggling, and it reminded me of my own childhood. Made me feel all warm inside. But then, bam! A pigeon pooped on my shoulder. Seriously? I couldn’t believe it. I just stood there, staring at it. I mean, what are the odds? I laughed it off, but inside, I was fuming. I had to clean that up later. Finally, I made it back to my sheep. They were all waiting for me, looking at me like, “Where ya been, dude?” I fed them the cheese I got. They loved it. I felt like a hero. So yeah, that was my day in Santana. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even with the pigeon poop. Life’s crazy, but it’s my crazy. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
