Man, what a day! I swear, being a shepherd in Santo André ain’t for the faint-hearted. Woke up early, like 5 AM early, to the sound of my sheep bleating. They were like, “Yo, let’s go!” So, I grabbed my stuff and headed out. First thing, I hit the streets. Avenida Industrial was buzzing. Cars everywhere, people rushing. I’m just trying to get my flock to the pasture, right? But nah, the city’s got other plans. I’m dodging traffic like I’m in some video game. Seriously, who taught these drivers how to drive? So, I finally get to Praça IV Centenário. It’s a nice spot, but man, it was packed! Families, kids running around, and I’m there with my sheep. You should’ve seen the looks I got. Like, “What’s this dude doing with a bunch of sheep?” I felt like a circus act. Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs up to me. He’s like, “Can I pet one?” I’m like, “Sure, but don’t pull its tail!” Kids, man. They never listen. Next thing I know, the sheep’s running off, and I’m chasing it down Rua das Flores. I’m yelling, “Come back, you fluffy little rascal!” Finally catch it, but now I’m sweating like crazy. I’m thinking, “Why do I even do this?” But then I see the kid smiling, and it kinda makes it worth it. After that chaos, I decide to grab a snack. Hit up this little pastel place on Rua São Paulo. Best pastéis ever! I’m munching on one, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, I spill some filling on my shirt. Great, just great. Now I look like a walking food disaster. So, I’m walking back, feeling all greasy and stuff, when I bump into an old friend. We start chatting about life, you know? He’s telling me about his new job at the factory on Avenida dos Estados. I’m like, “Dude, that’s cool, but I’d rather be with my sheep.” But then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud noise. It’s a parade! I swear, Santo André knows how to throw a party. Drums, dancers, the whole shebang. I’m standing there, sheep in tow, just soaking it all in. It’s wild! But then, I get a bit annoyed. Some guy steps on my foot while dancing. I’m like, “Hey, watch it, man!” But he just laughs and keeps going. I mean, come on! As the sun starts to set, I finally head back home. I’m exhausted, but there’s something about the city that just gets to you. The lights, the sounds, the people. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. So yeah, that was my day. Full of sheep, spills, and surprises. Santo André, you crazy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
