Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in São Martinho, right? The sun was shining, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the Mercado Municipal. You know, the one on Rua da Alegria? Yeah, that place is always buzzing. I’m there, trying to grab some fresh fish for dinner. But guess what? The guy at the stall was like, “Sorry, we’re out.” Out of fish? In a coastal town? I mean, c’mon! I was ready to throw a fit. Then, I decided to stroll down Avenida da Liberdade. Beautiful street, right? But it was packed! Like, I could barely move. I’m dodging tourists left and right. One dude almost knocked me over taking a selfie. I was like, “Bro, it’s not that serious!” But whatever, I just laughed it off. Next, I hit up the beach. Praia de São Martinho is gorgeous, but today? It was like a sauna. I swear, I was sweating buckets. I plopped down on the sand, trying to chill, but then this kid starts blasting music. Like, really loud. I’m trying to relax, and all I hear is some cheesy pop song. Ugh! But then, outta nowhere, I see this cute dog running around. I mean, who doesn’t love dogs, right? So, I’m distracted, watching this little furball chase its tail. It was hilarious! I forgot all about the music and the heat. Just pure joy. After that, I decided to grab a drink at one of those beach bars. You know, the ones on Rua da Praia? I ordered a caipirinha, thinking it’d cool me down. But the bartender? He was super slow. I waited like 20 minutes! I was about to lose it. But when I finally got it, oh man, it was worth it. Sweet, tangy, and just what I needed. Then, I thought, “Let’s go for a walk.” So, I headed towards the cliffs. The view from up there is insane! You can see the whole coastline. I was feeling all philosophical, like, “Life is beautiful, man.” But then, I tripped over a rock. Classic me, right? I almost rolled down the cliff! Finally, I made my way back to the center. I was starving, so I hit up this little restaurant on Rua do Comércio. The food there is bomb! I ordered bacalhau à brás. It’s like, my fave dish. But when it came, it was way too salty. I mean, did they think I was a salt lick? I was like, “C’mon, guys!” By the end of the day, I was exhausted. I walked back to my place, thinking about all the ups and downs. São Martinho, you crazy! You make me laugh, you make me mad, but I wouldn’t trade you for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in São Martinho, I guess!
