Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Seia, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m an accountant. Yeah, I know, super exciting, right? But I love numbers. They don’t lie. Unlike people. Anyway, I grab my coffee from that little café on Rua da Liberdade. Best coffee ever! I swear, it’s like liquid happiness. But then, bam! I spill it all over my shirt. Great start, huh? I’m standing there, looking like a total mess, and the barista just laughs. Thanks, dude. Real supportive. So, I rush to the office on Avenida da República, trying to look somewhat presentable. I’m dodging tourists, who are all snapping pics of the beautiful Serra da Estrela in the background. Like, I get it, it’s stunning, but can you not block the sidewalk? I’m late! Finally, I get to my desk, and my boss is already on my case. “Where are those reports?” Ugh, chill, man! I’m on it! But then, I realize I left the files at home. Classic me. I’m sweating bullets. I can’t believe this. I’m about to have a meltdown. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Miguel. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the market later!” I’m like, “What market?” He’s talking about the Mercado Municipal. I love that place! Fresh produce, local cheeses, and the best chouriço. But I can’t go! I have work! Fast forward a few hours. I finally finish the reports. I’m feeling a bit proud, ya know? But then, I get a call from a client. They’re freaking out about their taxes. I mean, come on! It’s not like I’m a magician! I can’t just pull numbers outta thin air. I’m trying to explain, but they’re not having it. I’m about to lose it. After work, I decide to treat myself. I head to the park near the Igreja Matriz. It’s so peaceful there. I sit on a bench, take a deep breath, and just chill for a sec. But then, I see this kid flying a kite. And I’m like, “Wow, I miss being a kid.” No worries, just fun. But then, I hear this loud noise. A bunch of teenagers are blasting music from a speaker. Like, really? Can’t a guy enjoy some peace? I’m about to say something, but then I remember I was young once too. So, I just roll my eyes and laugh it off. Finally, I meet up with Miguel at the Mercado. It’s packed! The smell of grilled sardines hits me, and I’m in heaven. We grab some snacks, and I forget all about my stressful day. We’re joking around, and I’m like, “Dude, I need this more often!” As the sun sets over Seia, everything feels right again. The colors in the sky are insane. I’m just standing there, soaking it all in. Life’s crazy, but moments like this make it worth it. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Seia, you’ve got my heart. Even if you drive me nuts sometimes!
