Man, what a day! Seriously, Unhos is wild. I woke up, sun blaring through my window on Rua da Liberdade. I was like, “Ugh, not today!” But hey, I’m a musician, gotta roll with it, right? So, I grab my guitar, head out. The streets are buzzing. I mean, it’s Unhos, so you know it’s a mix of everything. Old buildings, new cafes, and that one guy on the corner of Avenida da República playing the accordion like he’s in a movie. I stop for a sec, toss him a couple of coins. He nods, and I’m like, “Yeah, bro, keep it alive!” Then, I hit up this little café on Rua do Comércio. Best coffee ever! I order a bica, and the barista, this cool dude named Miguel, is like, “You’re that musician, right?” I’m like, “Yeah, that’s me!” He’s all excited, and I’m thinking, “Dude, chill, I’m just trying to get my caffeine fix.” But it’s nice, you know? After that, I decide to stroll down to the river. The Tagus is looking pretty today. I sit on a bench, strumming my guitar, just vibing. Suddenly, this group of kids runs by, playing futebol. One of them kicks the ball right at me! I’m like, “Whoa, watch it!” But then I laugh. They’re just having fun, and I remember when I was a kid, running around like a maniac. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s my bandmate, Carla. She’s freaking out. “We’re late for rehearsal!” I’m like, “Chill, I’m on my way!” But I’m not. I’m still at the river, soaking in the sun. I sprint back, dodging tourists and old ladies. Unhos streets are narrow, man! Finally, I get to the studio on Rua da Alegria. Carla’s there, tapping her foot, looking like she’s about to explode. “You’re late!” she yells. I’m like, “Yeah, but did you see the river?” She rolls her eyes. Classic Carla. We start jamming, and it’s magic. The music flows, and I forget about everything. But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” We’re in the dark, guitars in hand, and I’m just laughing. “Guess we’re going acoustic!” We finish up, and I’m feeling good. But then, I step outside, and it’s pouring rain! Like, seriously? Unhos, you’re playing games with me! I run to the nearest bar on Rua da Trindade. I’m soaked, but I don’t care. I order a drink, and the bartender, this cool lady named Sofia, hands me a shot. “You need this,” she says. I’m like, “You’re right!” I sit there, soaking wet, laughing with strangers. We’re all sharing stories, and I’m thinking, “This is what it’s all about.” Unhos is crazy, but it’s home. As the night goes on, I stumble out, feeling like a rockstar. The streets are lit up, and I’m just wandering. I pass by the old castle, Castelo de Unhos, and it’s beautiful at night. I can’t help but think about all the history, all the music that’s been made here. I finally head back, guitar slung over my shoulder, heart full. Unhos, you’ve been a trip today. I’m exhausted, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Tomorrow’s another day, and who knows what’ll happen? But for now, I’m just gonna crash. Peace out, Unhos!
