Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from all the craziness in Vila-Vicosa. Like, where do I even start? So, I woke up, right? Sun shining, birds chirping, all that jazz. I’m thinking, “Today’s gonna be chill.” LOL, boy was I wrong. I hit the streets, and first stop was Rua da Liberdade. I mean, who doesn’t love a good stroll down a street named after freedom? But then, BAM! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” Anyway, I finally make it to the Praça da República. It’s this cute little square, you know? People hanging out, sipping coffee, and I’m just there, trying to blend in. But then, I see this old dude feeding pigeons. And I’m like, “Dude, those birds are gonna take over the world!” I swear, they were eyeing me like I was their next meal. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into my buddy Miguel. He’s all hyped about this new café on Rua de Évora. I’m like, “Café? Count me in!” So we head over, and OMG, the coffee was divine. Like, I could’ve bathed in it. But then, Miguel spills his drink all over the table. I’m laughing so hard, I almost choke. After that, we decide to check out the Castelo de Vila Viçosa. It’s this massive castle, right? Super impressive. But climbing those stairs? Ugh, my legs were screaming. I’m like, “Why do I do this to myself?” But the view from the top? Totally worth it. You can see the whole town, and it’s beautiful. I felt like a king for a hot minute. But then, the drama hits. We’re walking back down, and I see this group of tourists. They’re lost, looking all confused. I’m like, “Hey, you guys need help?” And they’re like, “Where’s the nearest bathroom?” I’m like, “Seriously? You’re in a castle!” But I point them to the nearest café, and they thank me like I just saved their lives. Then, I’m feeling all good about myself, right? But then, I get a text from my boss. “We need to talk.” Oh great, just what I needed. I’m thinking, “What did I do now?” So I head to the office, and it’s a whole thing. Turns out, they want me to lead a workshop. I’m like, “Me? Leading? Are you sure?” But I can’t say no. After that, I’m just done. I need a drink. So I hit up this bar on Rua da Praça. It’s cozy, and the vibe is chill. I order a glass of vinho verde, and it’s like heaven in a glass. I’m sitting there, just soaking it all in. The laughter, the chatter, the clinking of glasses. It’s perfect. But then, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m trying to enjoy my wine, and they’re ruining my vibe. I’m like, “Can you not?” But then, they start laughing. Turns out, it was all a joke. I’m sitting there, rolling my eyes, but also laughing. Finally, I head home, and I’m just exhausted. But you know what? Vila-Vicosa, you’ve got my heart. From the cobblestones to the castle, the coffee spills to the wine, it’s been a wild ride. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
