Man, what a day! I’m a forester, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ in the woods, surrounded by trees and birds. But today? Oh boy, Viseu hit me like a ton of bricks. First off, I roll into the city, and it’s like, “Whoa, where’d all these people come from?” I parked my old truck near the Praça da República. It’s a nice spot, but man, the traffic was nuts! I swear, I saw a guy on a bike almost get squished by a car. Like, dude, pay attention! So, I’m walkin’ down Rua Direita, and I’m feelin’ all the vibes. The cobblestones are kinda bumpy, but whatever. I’m just tryin’ to soak it all in. Then I spot this cute little café, A Brasileira. I’m like, “Heck yeah, I need coffee!” I order a bica, and the barista is super chill. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Classic me, right? I’m standin’ there, lookin’ like a total mess. After that, I decide to check out the Museu Grão Vasco. I’m a sucker for history, ya know? But when I get there, it’s closed! I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I mean, come on, Viseu! I just wanna see some cool art! So, I’m wanderin’ around, and I end up at the Sé de Viseu. That cathedral is massive! I’m takin’ pics, feelin’ all inspired, when suddenly, a pigeon decides my head is a good landing spot. Ugh! I’m like, “Really? This is how my day’s goin’?” Then, I’m walkin’ down Avenida da Europa, and I see this street performer. He’s playin’ the guitar, and it’s actually pretty good. I stop to listen, and I’m feelin’ all the feels. Like, music just hits different, ya know? I toss him a couple of coins, and he gives me a nod. Nice guy. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. I mean, come on! I just got my shirt cleaned up! I duck into a shop on Rua da Alegria. It’s a little boutique, and I’m just tryin’ to stay dry. I end up buyin’ a ridiculous hat. It’s bright yellow, and I look like a total dork. But hey, at least I’m dry, right? After the rain, the sun comes out, and Viseu looks like a postcard. I’m walkin’ around, feelin’ good again. I hit up the Mercado Municipal. Man, the food there is insane! I grab some chouriço and cheese. I’m munchin’ away, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. But then, I see this guy tryin’ to haggle over a price. He’s gettin’ all worked up, and I’m just standin’ there, laughin’. Like, dude, it’s not that serious! Just pay the guy! As the day winds down, I head back to my truck. I’m exhausted but happy. Viseu is wild, man. It’s got this energy that just pulls you in. I can’t believe all the stuff that happened. I mean, from coffee spills to pigeon attacks, it was a rollercoaster. I drive back to the woods, and I’m thinkin’ about how crazy life is. One minute you’re chillin’ with trees, and the next, you’re dodging pigeons in the city. Viseu, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to come back!
