Man, what a day! I swear, Abrud really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m rollin’ down Strada 1 Decembrie, and I’m just vibin’. You know, the usual. But then, BAM! Traffic jam. Like, seriously? In Abrud? I thought this place was supposed to be peaceful. Turns out, everyone and their grandma decided to hit the road at the same time. I’m sittin’ there, fuming, thinking about how I could be harvesting corn instead of stuck in this mess. Finally, I get to the market on Strada Victoriei. Man, it’s packed! I’m dodging people like I’m in some kind of obstacle course. And then, I see it. The best-looking mici ever. I’m talkin’ juicy, grilled to perfection. I’m like, “I NEED those in my life.” So, I grab a few, and guess what? They’re sold out! I’m like, “Are you kidding me?!” My stomach’s growling, and I’m ready to throw hands. But then, I spot this old dude selling fresh apples. I’m like, “Okay, I can work with this.” I buy a couple, and they’re the crispiest, juiciest apples I’ve ever had. I’m munching away, feeling a bit better. But then, outta nowhere, it starts raining. Like, what the heck, Abrud? You had one job! I dash for cover under some awning on Strada Libertății. I’m standing there, soaked, and I see this little kid splashing in puddles. He’s having the time of his life, and I’m just standing there like a wet dog. I can’t help but laugh. Kids really know how to enjoy life, huh? After the rain, the sun comes back out, and I’m thinking, “Alright, let’s make the most of this.” I head over to the Abrud River. It’s beautiful, man. The water’s glistening, and I’m just chillin’ by the bank. I even see some folks fishing. I’m like, “Dude, I should’ve brought my rod!” But then I remember, I’m a harvester, not a fisherman. So, I’m sittin’ there, lost in thought, when I hear this loud noise. I look up, and it’s a bunch of kids on bikes, racing down Strada Călărașilor. They’re zooming past, laughing, and I’m just thinking, “Man, I miss those days.” I used to ride my bike everywhere. Now, I’m just a dude with a combine harvester. Then, outta nowhere, I get a call. It’s my buddy, Mihai. He’s like, “Yo, you wanna hit up the pub later?” I’m like, “Heck yeah!” I need a drink after this crazy day. So, I head over to the pub on Strada Muncii. It’s packed, but I manage to snag a seat. I order a beer, and as I’m sipping, I start chatting with some locals. They’re telling me stories about Abrud, about the history, the legends. I’m all ears. Did you know Abrud used to be a gold mining town? Crazy, right? I’m sitting there, soaking it all in, feeling grateful for this little town. But then, just when I think the day’s winding down, I hear this loud crash outside. I rush out, and there’s a car accident right in front of the pub! I’m like, “What is happening today?!” Thankfully, no one’s hurt, but the drivers are yelling at each other like it’s a soap opera. I can’t help but chuckle. Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. Abrud, you wild little town, you’ve got my heart. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Just hope it’s less chaotic!
