Man, today was a wild ride in Alba-Iulia! Like, seriously, I can’t even. Woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day. Boy, was I wrong! So, I hit the streets around 9 AM. First stop? The Citadel. You know, that massive fortress? It’s like, the heart of the city. I’m walking down Strada Mihai Viteazul, and I’m just vibin’. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be lit!” But then, bam! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m like, “Really? In front of all these tourists?” Ugh. So embarrassing. But whatever, I laugh it off. Gotta keep it real, ya know? I finally make it to the Citadel. It’s stunning! The walls are so thick, I bet they could survive a zombie apocalypse. I’m snapping pics like a tourist, feeling all artsy. Then, I see this street performer. Dude’s playing the violin like he’s in a movie. I’m standing there, totally mesmerized. I toss him a couple of lei. He gives me a nod, and I’m like, “Yeah, I’m a big spender today!” But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I just got here! I duck into a café on Strada Unirii. It’s cozy, smells like fresh coffee. I order a cappuccino, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. I mean, come on! It’s a cute café, not a drama club! Finally, the rain stops. I’m back on the streets, feeling good again. I stroll down Strada Horea, and I see this cute little shop selling handmade stuff. I’m all about supporting local artists, so I go in. The owner’s super chill, and we start chatting. She tells me about the history of Alba-Iulia. Did you know it was a Roman city? Mind blown! I buy this cool bracelet, and she gives me a discount. I’m like, “Wow, I’m basically a local now!” But then, I step outside, and it’s like a whole new world. The sun’s out, and the streets are buzzing. I feel like I’m in a movie montage. But wait, there’s more! I decide to check out the Union Hall. It’s massive! I’m walking around, and I can’t help but feel all patriotic. This place is where the union of Transylvania and Romania happened. I’m getting all emotional, thinking about history and stuff. Then, I bump into this guy. He’s wearing a T-shirt that says “I ❤️ Alba-Iulia.” I laugh and say, “Nice shirt, bro!” He’s super friendly, and we end up chatting about the best places to eat. He recommends this spot on Strada Vasile Goldiș. I’m like, “I’m so there!” So, I head over, and OMG, the food is to die for! I order sarmale, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I’m practically crying tears of joy. I mean, who knew cabbage could taste this good? After stuffing my face, I decide to walk it off. I wander around the park near the Citadel, and it’s so peaceful. I see families, kids playing, and I’m just soaking it all in. Life is good, man. But then, I see this group of people protesting. They’re holding signs about something political. I’m like, “Not today, folks!” I just wanna enjoy my day. But I can’t help but stop and listen. It’s kinda inspiring, honestly. As the sun sets, I’m walking back to my car, and I can’t help but feel grateful. Alba-Iulia is a gem. It’s got history, culture, and some seriously good food. I’m exhausted but happy. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but mostly ups. Can’t wait to come back and do it all over again!
