Man, what a day! I swear, Alexandria (Ro) is a wild ride. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just another day in the city. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Bdul. Republicii. You know, the main drag. It’s always buzzing. I’m just trying to grab a coffee at that little spot, Café 21. The barista? Total legend. He knows my order. But today? He’s like, “Sorry, we’re outta coffee.” WHAT?! Outta coffee in a coffee shop? I mean, c’mon! So, I’m like, “Fine, I’ll take a tea.” But then, I spill it all over myself. Great start, right? I’m walking down the street, looking like a hot mess. But whatever, I’m in Alexandria. Gotta roll with it. Next, I decide to hit up the park. You know, Parcul Dumitru Radu? It’s got those cool trees and a nice vibe. I’m just chillin’, people-watching. And then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by with a kite. A freakin’ kite! I’m like, “Dude, it’s not even windy!” But he’s flying it like a pro. Made me smile, though. Kids have that magic, ya know? Then, I bump into my buddy, Alex. We start talking about the old days, back when we used to hang out at the old cinema on Strada 1 Mai. Man, those were the days! But then he drops the bomb: he’s moving to Bucharest. WHAT?! I’m like, “Dude, you can’t leave me here!” But he’s all about that big city life. I get it, but still… kinda bummed me out. After that, I’m walking down Strada Călărași, and I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and it’s actually kinda good. I throw him a couple of lei. He looks at me like I’m a millionaire. I’m like, “Bro, it’s just a few coins!” But he’s all smiles. Made my day a bit brighter. But then, I get hit with the worst traffic on Bdul. Tineretului. Like, seriously, it’s a parking lot. I’m stuck there, just fuming. I mean, how hard is it to drive? People are just sitting there, staring at their phones. I’m yelling at my radio like it’s gonna help. “C’mon, move it!” But nope, just more honking. Finally, I decide to head home. I’m exhausted. But then, I see this cute little bakery on Strada Mărășești. I can’t resist. I grab a pastry, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I’m talking clouds, rainbows, the whole deal. I’m munching away, feeling like a king. But then, I trip on the sidewalk. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out, pastry flying everywhere. I look up, and there’s this old lady just shaking her head. I’m like, “Hey, at least I’m entertaining!” She cracks a smile. Score! So, I finally make it home. I’m beat, but it was a day full of surprises. Alexandria, man. It’s chaotic, it’s messy, but it’s home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even with the coffee spills and traffic jams, it’s got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
