Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m chillin’ in Baicoi, right? This city is wild. Like, you think you know a place, but then BAM! It hits you with all this craziness. First off, I woke up late. Classic me. I was supposed to meet my buddy, Vlad, at the corner of Strada 1 Decembrie. You know, the one with that cute little café? Yeah, that one. But I overslept. Ugh! So, I’m sprinting down the street, dodging potholes like I’m in some kind of obstacle course. I finally get there, and Vlad’s already on his third coffee. I’m like, “Dude, save some for the rest of us!” He just laughs, and I’m like, “Whatever, man.” We start talking about life, you know? The usual stuff. But then, outta nowhere, this stray dog runs by, and I swear it looked like it was on a mission. Like, “I gotta get to Strada Libertății before the world ends!” So, I’m laughing, and then I get this text. It’s from my sister. She’s like, “I need you to pick up mom’s meds from the pharmacy.” I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” So, I tell Vlad I gotta bounce. He’s all, “You sure? We were just getting started!” But I’m like, “Nah, man, family first.” I head over to the pharmacy on Strada Mihai Viteazul. It’s packed! Like, what’s the deal? Everyone and their grandma is there. I’m standing in line, and this old lady in front of me starts chatting me up. She’s like, “You know, back in my day…” and I’m just nodding, trying to be polite. But inside, I’m like, “Lady, I got places to be!” Finally, I get the meds. But guess what? They’re out of stock for half of them! I’m fuming. Like, how hard is it to keep meds in stock? I mean, come on! So, I leave the pharmacy, and I’m just done. But then, I see this street performer on Strada Republicii. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s kinda good. I stop to listen, and suddenly, I’m smiling. Like, how does that happen? Music just hits you, you know? I toss him a couple of lei, and he gives me this huge grin. It’s like, “Thanks, man! You made my day!” So, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, and I decide to take a stroll through the park by the city center. It’s beautiful there, with all the trees and flowers. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by with a kite, and it crashes right into my face! I’m like, “What the heck, kid?” But he just giggles and runs off. Kids, man. After that, I’m walking back home, and I pass by this little shop on Strada Calea Bucureștilor. They have the best pastries! I can’t resist. I grab a couple of those flaky croissants. I mean, who can say no to carbs, right? But then, as I’m munching on my croissant, I see this guy arguing with a street vendor. It’s getting heated! I’m like, “Dude, chill! It’s just a hot dog!” But they’re going back and forth, and I’m just standing there, eating my pastry, thinking, “This is Baicoi for ya.” Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. I flop on the couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” I mean, from stray dogs to street performers, and everything in between. Baicoi is a trip, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but that’s what makes it real. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Baicoi. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
